Rain's POV
I started to walk further into the woods,if I shift I will probably scare Ashley,I really hope lyla is okay
"Who is lyla,and why are you worried about her?"Ashley asked,wait,what?
"How do you know about that"I asked
"I have the ability to read minds"Ashley said
"Really?,okay,do you believe in werewolves?"I asked
"Yes,my father was the alpha of the star shine pack"Ashley said,I instantly put her down,she looked confused at first but then she got what I was trying to say,I shifted into my wolf and she climbed onto my back.......I ran as fast as I could hoping I would just bump into lyla
Lyla's POV
I was running really fast,but I couldn't contain my anger,you know that feeling when you feel your being watched, that's the feeling I I am having now, I stopped and looked around,I heard pounding paws gaining up on me ,I already knew it was rain but he wasn't alone,he had a little girl on his back,I quickly shifted into my human form and so did he,i ran over and hugged him
"Lyla are you okay?"he asked and I nodded
"Hello"the little girl said waving
"Hello there,little one"I said stooping down to her level
"Are you lyla?"she asked
"Yup,how did you know?"I asked
"She has mind reading abilities"rain said
"Oooh,your like a super hero"I said
"Yeah,I'm super ash"she giggled
"Oh yes you are,come here!!!"I grabbed her and tickled her,the whole time rain stood there smiling
"Okay come on w-we need to get going"rain said and we started walking back to the pack house
"Where did you find her rain??"I asked,that sentence brought up a sad facial expression on Ashley's face,she held a tighter grip on me
"The shifter killed my parents, and most of the pack members,my brother rick told me to run,so I ran into the woods,and rain found me"Ashley said,its sooo sad,she has no one
"Ashley,I promise no matter what I will keep you safe,and no one will hurt you okay"I said and she nodded
We were finally at the pack house,the stars were out,and sooo was the moon,I needed to fresh up,I ran up the stairs,and walked straight into the bathroom, I stripped down my clothes and hopped into the shower,the water slowly moved down my back,that's what I needed,a warm shower,I turned the water off and got out,I wrapped a pink towel around me and walked into the room,Ashley stood in front of me with her pj's in her arms,I walked over to my closet and we both changed into our pj's,when we got back in the room, rain was fast asleep,he had already got a room set up for Ashley,I brought her to her room,I tucked her in,and was about to walk out when I heard a whisper........
"Good night lyla"Ashley whispered
"Good night baby"I said before walking back to my room,I lifted the covers and crawled in,all of a sudden I felt an arm wrapped around my waste.....
"I thought you were asleep"I said
"That's what I wanted you to think"he whispered
"Sooo,are we keeping Ashley?"I asked
"Its up to you babe"he said
"Well then ofcourse,tomorrow is the full moon?"I asked
"Yeah"he said
"Are you scared?"I asked
"No,because I have you"rain said,I smiled to my self before drifting off to sleep
