Chapter 4

Omgogosqueeze. It feels like summer is almost over for some reason even though there is a whole month and half before we go back to school.. That is if we go back to school(MMHM I kind of like online  school. @thegreyjedi). Okie so this is chapter four. I know it seems like it's fluffy shit with all the character antics like Mike and Ben's twinsies thing . We thought it would be funny, but I promise it will sound more spy school-ish (action & people getting hurt?) later.

I-395 Highway South

0555 hours

Ben's POV

I walked towards the car, toting my coffee and everyone's food. Mike's trailed behind with the rest of our drinks. I was anticipating the reaction Erica was going to give Mike (I honestly think Erica hurting people was a petty response to whatever happened, and the bad example Cyrus set). I plopped in my seat and watched the action unfold.

Mike's POV

I was totally siked for this prank before, but then I got thinking (Ben: Woah you can think. Mike:scowls and gives a punch). What'll Zoe think? Just the nice thought of her brought a slight smile to my face, and Ben looked at me questionably and then winked at me as if he could read my mind. Then I hopped in the car and handed out the stuff receiving a curt nod from Cyrus, and thanks from the rest. My hand trembled slightly as I gave Erica her drink, then kept my gaze on her to see the reaction. She quirked her eyebrow at me and snapped her fingers causing me to turn away. I then turned back even though she was probably aware that I was still looking at her. She took a sip and then,.....

Erica's POV 

I watched Ben and Mike come out of the Starbucks and noticed that Mike was falling behind Ben seemingly lost in thought. They reached the car and Ben's hand brushed against mine as he handed me my wrap. He clambered into the back seat next to Zoe and buckled his seatbelt. I turned my attention to Mike, and received my coffee. I said a quick thank you as I noticed Mike's hand was trembling. Ben just looked slightly smug as he looked between us. I then decided to take a sip as grandpa started to pull out of the parking lot. It was cold, and fruity and I fought the urge to turn the corners of my mouth down. But it was to no avail and I turned my head to see Zoe asking Mike why he gave her the hot drink. I realized what had happened, gave Mike a glare and a kick in the shins and grabbed my drink from Zoe- mentally hitting myself or not realizing it sooner (Mike: hahahaHAHAHAHAHAHA.) I looked at Ben who was smirking and rolling his eyes at Mike and asked him,

"Were you in on this?" He shook his head lying but when I gave him a second glance he nodded biting his lip to concentrate for a quick second probably contemplating if he was going to lie again. I blushed realizing I was watching him and looked around rapidly to see if anyone noticed. Mike was too into his conversation with Zoe and Ben was looking at Mike. Luckily Grandpa was driving, but Alexander seemed to have caught on and I swore that he was going to tell my mother(Ahhh so calex is in contact) so I gave him a threatening look.

Ben POV again

We were finally at the library, and I could just see the anxiety and excitement radiating off everyone as we walked in.

"Be vigilant, keep your guard up, and look around for people, or objects that seem suspicious" Cyrus snapped, causing people around to angrily look at us. We were in the MLK memorial library in the DCPL, and I saw Zoe tug Mike off to check the study area. I decided to completely leave the building wondering if anyone would notice and decided to go onto the streets of D.C to another building(Part of the DCPL system... we did our research). I started following this vaguely familiar couple even though I saw them  arguing and swore I heard the word Joshua come up. I would have loved to assume it was some guy the girl had been cheating on her boyfriend  with, but my intuition decided to follow. They went into another building which also happened to be a library, and went into a nice garden. I must have knocked over some nice potted plant as they went into the corner, because the moment the dude saw me he ran. I immediately recognized to be Murray , the girl next to him, whirled around and took out a gun giving Murray time to escape. I silently cursed, realizing I had let my old nemesis Murray, get away. The irrational portion of my brain chose to take a few knives off a table from where an old couple was eating. I threw all and they landed almost exactly where I wanted them to ( because of his level 16 mathematical skills) . It drew attention to me, causing her to put the gun away. Then, I broke into a small sprint landing a good kick to her gut, took the smallest potted plant, threw it at her and started running. She started chasing me, and I saw the balcony was really low so I did what I thought Erica would do. I jumped.( Ben: Okay guys thank you for writing this. I love my unprecedented recklessness[eye roll].)   I felt my ankle roll but I kept running out of pure adrenaline. I turned back and I didn't see Jenny anywhere. I was about to silently party, when I slammed into Erica, a very impatient and annoyed Cyrus and Zoe and Mike behind them.

"What did you do? Why are you running" Erica, asked?

I panted and tried to catch my breath..

"Long story short Murray is here, and he is with some girl who I think is Jenny Lake" I quickly said.

"What!" Zoe exclaimed. The librarians glared at us so we quieted down. Then I recognized a flash of blonde and purple discretely entering the library, and followed her ignoring the questions from Mike.

Erica quickly caught up to me and I said, "Did you catch the name tag she had?"

She responded with, "Of course, also if she's with Murray she has to be freelance then it's Jenny." I nodded at her and continued to ponder over why they were together, and why they were here. Eventually, we reached a help desk and saw the librarian was Jenny, with a tag that said "Ms.Lake", my shoulders kind of slumped when I realized my stupidity. Erica took no notice and told me to talk to the librarians while she had managed to convince Jenny to come help her. One of the other librarians was old, and had it stuck in her head that I was 5 instead of 15 and started fawning over me. When I finally escaped her clutches, I ran to where Erica was fighting Jenny in a small room. I heard a beep coming from the computers in the room and ran over only to find. ..

This was 1157 words not counting the A/N obviously. This may/ or may not be the last update for a while because the grey jedi is on a road trip for some time, and I am dealing with major personal issues. I hope you can understand, and we will hopefully see you soon :)
