feeling empty

It had been a couple of weeks since Penelope left for Belgium.

Hope had started writing into a journal to calm down her thoughts since the ravenette witch wasn't there to train with her.

In the beginning, the ravenette took a liking to the tribrid and nearly asked her out if not for Josie, who helped her figure out her feelings, romantically and platonically. During Christmas when she gifted those spelled pens, she spelled Hope's a little differently.

The tribrid found herself missing the ravenette's presence in her life. Missing the snarky comments, missing Penelope's signature smirk, missing the soft side of the raven-haired witch.

Dear diary,

I know nobody's going to see this but I do miss Penelope. I miss her good-natured smirks, I miss her snarky comments, I miss her commanding presence around the school, and I miss the soft side of the ravenette. I never thought I would say this but I'm conflicted on what I'm feeling.

I feel happy for Penelope because she won't have to deal with Lizzie's bitchy banter anymore.

I feel sorry for Josie who just lost a now-ex girlfriend she loved dearly due to her sister.

I feel relieved for Lizzie because she won't have to be snarky around Penelope to cover up her insecurities.

I feel worried for the twins who just found out about Merge and they know of their fate when they turn 22.

But most of all I feel empty without the raven-haired witch's presence around me. Her presence was comforting now that I realize it and I miss that subtle level of security and comfort in my life.

Little did the tribrid know, Penelope was watching each letter be written into her personal diary. Her face quickly shifted through various expressions while watching each letter be etched into the parchment of her diary.
