I woke up earlier today because my neighbors where being a little too loud for it to be six in the morning all I heard was aguring and door slams.

I sat up on the floor and grabbed my bag grabbing my hygiene bag and a pair of black biker shorts and a black cropped shirt with the words 'Los Angles' on it in yellow.

I got in the shower and lathered myself in Dove soap and my Cucumber Melon body gel from Bath and Body Work. After I washed myself and shaved I stepped on the small towel on the floor I grabbed a bigger towel and dried my body off.

I grabbed my Shea butter and put some on my body before putting my clothes on. Today I was going to fill out a job application and go back to my birthgiver's house with an old neighbor who had a truck to get my bed and dresser. He had been our neighbor ever since I we moved there he was the neighborhood dad or grandpa. He owned the house he lived in and even owned three more houses on the block for the kids who didn't have anywhere to stay or were in bad situations.

I'd try so many times to escape but I was always caught wether it was day or night. So after I just gave up after a while.

I put my hair in a sleek ponytail and walked out my door and went onto the elevator. Another person stepped inside the elevator I noticed the similar smell Gucci cologne and weed. I looked up and I saw the guy who brought me here—Namryis.

"Hey Aiko" he simply said looking down at me. Before speaking I saw another bruise on his face along with a busted lip.  "Hey the hell you talking bout 'hEy aIko' are you okay look at your damn face!" I exclaimed without knowing raising my voice.

"Girl calm down I'm straight these just baby hits they don't even hurt no more" he said shrugging his shoulders.

"But how you doing with the new apartment and all" he asked.

"I'm good I'm just going to get my stuff from my old house" I said while looking him in the eyes

He looked at me for a while then leaned down but then his phone started ringing. He answered it but all I heard was a girl yelling and then he just hung up.

"Uhm you good" I asked. He just nodded his head. "Well I gotta bye" I said stepping off the elevator while he went the other direction towards the apartment workout room.

I started walking down towards the direction of the hospital. I finally made it towards the hospital I walked thru the double doors and walked towards the reception desk.

"Hi I was here for an interview you were hiring for an assistant without a degree. I was interested in the position" I said putting on my professional voice.

"Ah yes we do just fill out this form for me baby, and I'll just give it to the nurse in need of assistance" she said handing me the clipboard.

I filled the form out in 45 minutes and handed the lady back the clipboard and walked out the hospital. I started walking to my old neighborhood to get Mr.Joe my old neighbor to help me move my bed and dresser so I could move it into my apartment.

I reached his house after a 20 minute walked and knocked on the door. He opened the door after a while and pulled me into a hug.

"My Aiko bunny how you been girl" he said stepping outside and locking his door with his key.
"I'm doing good Mr.Joe could be worse but I'm doing good." I said faintly smiling.

"That's good". He says he gets into his truck and back into my yard so he could push my things out the house a little faster. He hopped out his truck with his pistol and knocked on the door.

"Oh so you coming back you wasn't gonna be nothing without me!" We pushed passed her seeing that her husband wasn't here. We took apart my bed and carried the small parts one by one then grabbed the head board, mattress, and box spring. We slid the dresser down the steps ignoring what my birthgiver was saying. I then ran back up the steps grabbed my rugs,curtains, and my thin white wall mirror I ran back the down the stairs and bumped into her on my way out.

He drove me to the apartment complex we took everything to my apartment and he screwed the bed back together. "You sure you can do the rest?" He asked.

"Yeah I got it Mr.Joe" he nodded his head and we walked back towards the front "Alright bye Mr.Joe be safe" I said grabbing my rugs and curtains from by the door.

"Wait Aiko" I heard a familiar voice I opened the door again seeing Namryis with a bloody nose. "Hey I was wondering could I crash here I got into it with somebody and I'm locked out my apartment" he spoke he was on edge and he kept looking back scratching his neck.

"Uh yeah sure" I said opening the door a little more letting him in. "Thank you for real" he said hugging me a little.

"Oh! Your welcome" I said caught off guard I never gotten no type of love so it was kind of new to me. I guess he sensed me being uncomfortable and started attacking me with questions while panicking.

"Dam- I'm sorry did I make you uncomforta- I mean if you want me to leave now I will" he said pointing at the door.

"No Namryis it's cool" I said laughing a little bit.

"Oh okay" he said in a nervous tone.

"Uhm yeah I don't have any living room furniture" I said holding my hands outs.

"Oh that's cool I'll sleep on the floor" I just nodded my head

" You can take a shower down the hall. I have some extra gym pants their kinda big on me so you could fit them" I said walking towards my room

"Thank  I appreciate it Ko" he said grabbing the gym shorts from my hand and started walking down the hall towards the bathroom.

I laid back on my bed hearing the shower run. After 15 minutes he came back. "Do you have any covers and extra pillows" he asked.

"Oh it's okay you can sleep at the bottom of my bed" I said genuinely

"I don't wanna overstep my boundaries I'm okay on the floor" he spoke.

"You're not its ok Namryis I'm sure" I said nodding my head slowly.

"Are you sure" he asked. I nodded my head and he slowly walked towards my bed and laid across the bottom of my feet.

"Thanks again I'll be gone before you wake up" he said slowly closing his eyes "Goodnight Ko" he said before drifting to sleep.

"Goodnight Mryis" I said falling asleep right after
