Chapter 4

Maya exhaled hearing as Jake and Tracy were busy down stairs with the project while she wasn't sure what was going to happen with her and Josh.
The one boy who she has forever had a crush on she was now paired with for a book report.
Maya hears a knock against the door as she opened it up.

"Hi, Josh. Let me just grab my backpack then we can go to the bakery," Maya said.
"Might be best. Good luck, Jake. Seems like you are already regretting Turner's decision," Josh said causing Jake to look at him.
"This girl is all about romance. Not my thing," Jake said, putting emphasis on the 't'.
"Well deal with it bro. Let's go," Maya said as they were out of the door.

"Okay, so how about we do something not like your brother?" Josh asked as Maya looked at him.
"I know they haven't decided on a book yet but I've known him awhile and knowing Jake he'll bully Tracy into the book he wants. Why don't we go through a few books? I think I have some in my backpack," Josh said as he got a few books out.

Maya smiled looking as Josh laid all of the options out as one immediately caught her eye.
She looked at him before reaching our for the book.
"A walk to remember. This is my favorite book. First time I read it I was 11 about three years ago," Maya said.
"I started reading it last year. Glad to see we read the same stuff. Then we'll do that one. Good job, Gorgeous," Josh said putting the other books back as Maya looked at him.

Or course the name rang a bell but it was almost impossible that it could be him.
No, it was not Josh who send it to her.
