Ciara is now 9yearsold, Sage16, Prudy18, Lisate20, Flora36,and Antonia48.
Antonia closed the gate of the mall, unlocked her car, and sat in it. The traffic light signalled red, so,she stopped the car to admire the gifts, She had bought for the girls.And when the traffic light signalled green, she didn't see it.When she looked up to see the signal, she saw a truck approaching her. It was too late!
There wad nothing she could do.
She was rushed to the hospital by the people at the scene. When she became conscious again, she asked the doctor to let her call Flora and she agreed.
In Antonia's house, Flora was busily making fruit salad for the children.The telephone in the kitchen rang and she answered it. "Hello,Coleman residence, Who is it?", Flora said hurriedly.
"It is me Antonia.Flora please bring the children with you to family hospital", Antonia said.
" Why?, Madam is a problem?", Flora asked.
"Just come,please, I will tell you everything", Antonia pleaded.
Flora abandoned the salad and went to meet the girls;they were in their common room.
" Girls", she told them "we need to visit your mom, she had a bit of problem so we need to go visit her at a hospital". The girls got ready,and Flora drove them to the hospital the ride was very silent and Flora was giving the acclerator a hard time so they arrived earlier than Antonia anticipated. "Oh, you're here ", Antonia said with a smile. All the kids smiled back except Ciara who pouted " Mom I want icecream". "Oh, darling you and your aunt Flora should go to the store nearby and buy some", Antonia said.
" Mom I want some too ", Sage said. " We all want some anyway",Prudy said.
"Speak for yourselves", Lisate said. " You're sure, you don't want some Lis", Antonia teased.
"No way! Mom I am twenty years old if you didn't notice.
" There is never a label on icecreams which says twenty years and above are exempted from eating it. Get a life Lis", Prudy added.
"It's okay no more teasing, Ciara and I will go buy the icecream for us except Lisate", Flora said.
" Girls", Antonia said when Flora closed the gate "you know how much a I love you all never think I didn't okay?and take care of yourselves". ' While I'm gone', Antonia added in her mind.
