Chapter Eight

*Kyrie's POV*

I'm watching tv and hear August's name pop up.
" Yeah Malina..I definitely agree to what you are saying. Ever since this girl has popped into the picture, August has been in everyone's mouth. First he was seen with her coming out the hotel, then the little girl incident, and the bar fight! She is definitely adding more drama to August's life" says Julie Hugh, a Gossip Girl host.

I roll my eyes but keep watching. "Also last night a picture was posted by the girl...so her name is Kyrie Rogers and we were investigating more into her page... the little girl is her niece and her name is Miracle. Also from looking on her page on Instagram, we have seen that she has a twin sister. But anyway back to the picture...in the picture August is asleep with 'Miracle' laying on him sleep also and they are both beside the dollhouse with dolls in their hands, so obviously they were playing together. I still don't get it though, they would have to be going out for a long time for Miracle and August to have this good of a relationship.You just don't instantly bond like that with a little girl".

I stare at the television screen with my mouth wide open. I turn around and I see Mira and August behind me watching the screen with their mouths open as well. I turned back to the screen. "August better watch out because that girl could get him into some serious trouble" said Malina. "Yep well next on Gossip Girl: Kanye finally speaks out about Kim Kardashian's 'Internet Breaking' photos,keep it right here we'll be right back" I cut off the tv.

Then I turned towards August. "I'm messing everything up" I say.

"No darling, your not messing anything up. They just need something to talk about" August says.

I sighed."Okay August".

"Y'all go ahead and put on y'all clothes so that we can leave." Said August.

We then went upstairs and got ready.

Today is all about Mira. We are finally finishing her room up so she stop sleeping in this guest room. We take her to Hobby Lobby, Pier 1, and other furniture stores. She picked out some stuff and August rented a small Uhaul to fit everything in. He is still helping me look for a job. I don't know what I would be doing without him☺️. We get back home and start on Mira's room. We turn on some music to dance to then we get wit it. We put together the bed and August doesn't know wtf he is doing.

"Baby why don't you look at the directions"? I asked him.

"Baby you may be too feminine to understand this but.....real ni**as don't need no damn directions.

Miracle popped him in the mouth. "Daddy stop that cursing" she said.

He laughed. "I'm sorry baby girl" he said then kissed her forehead.

She smiled. "August you need to look at the directions" I told him.

"I GOT THIS" he said in his best George Lopez voice.

"Ok well me and Mira are going to put together the dresser and we are going to look at the directions" I said as I pulled out the box with the dresser in it.

"Well yall ain't real then" he said as he tried to put together the bed.

"Mhmm well we will see whose real when we finish this dresser" I said.

"Blah blah blah" he said.

Me and Miracle put together the dresser quickly. We set it where we wanted it and August was still struggling. "Do you need help August" I asked.

He sighed." Maybe just a little" he finally admitted. Me and Miracle laughed, then we went over and helped him out. We finished putting the bed together then moved it into place. "You know I could have did that by myself right" August said.

"Whatever boy" I said. We finally put everything into the room. It looked so cute and Mira really liked it.

"Thanks Mommy and Daddy she said. Mira was such a grateful little girl with manners.

"Your welcome Mira" we both said.

Then I heard my phone ring. It was an unknown number.

"Hello" I said
