Chapter Seven

Hoseok decided it was best to talk to his betas first, and then their alpha separately about the decision. Which is how he found himself sitting in his room, waiting for the four betas after sending a group message to them.

Just as he sent the message, another one came in.

Hoseok immediately illuminated in a smile.

Yoongi: My pretty omega, you've been awfully quiet today. Everything alright?

Hoseok: Hyungie~ Everything's great! Don't worry about me u3u

Hoseok: But...maybe I am a little nervous about something....

Hoseok: I can't tell you what it is though!! It's a secret!

Yoongi: I'll always worry, it's my job.

Yoongi: A secret? Seok-ah, my pretty omega, you know you can tell alpha anything. I will always protect you and be with you.

Hoseok: Hyungie...

Hoseok: I promise, I'll tell you soon!

Hoseok: It's something that I want to tell you in person...

Yoongi: Can alpha take you out tonight then? Treat you to a nice dinner? We can go back to our spot on the mountain, the place where I took you for our first date and talk about it?

Hoseok: I would love that alpha~

Hoseok: Ah! I have to go, I'll talk to you soon u3u

Yoongi: Okay, I'll see you soon, beautiful boy.

Hoseok couldn't fight the smile blooming across his lips even if he tried, looking up from his phone as soon as the group of betas began to pile into his room. Hoseok moved back to make room for them on the bed.

"Everything alright little Seok?" Seokjin asked, sitting on the bed beside Taehyung and Jimin. Jungkook chose his usual spot behind Hoseok, his cheek rubbing against Hoseok's neck.

Hoseok giggled at Jungkook's greeting, nodding towards Seokjin, "Yeah, I just...I wanted to talk to you guys about something."

"You decided that you want to spend your heat in a romantic way. In other words, you want to spend your heat with Yoongi hyung?" Taehyung asked suddenly, a knowing grin on his lips.

Hoseok looked at him with wide eyes, "How...how did you know? But- but I wasn't going to say it like that-"

"It's okay Hobi hyung." Jimin reassured, reaching out to hold Hoseok's hand, "It was only a matter of time. Honestly, we all saw it coming from your first date."

"You...you did?"

Seokjin smiled gently towards the omega, "Little Seok, Yoongi-ah is a fine alpha. We've all gotten to know him and think this to be true. I trust him with you, with our omega. It's so clear that you were never supposed to spend your heat with us, you were always meant to be with Yoongi-ah."

Hoseok took a deep breath, asking in a tentative voice, "So you're...not mad...?"

"I wouldn't say that we're mad but..." Seokjin trailed off, his smile turning bittersweet.

"Do you think Yoongi hyung will mate with you Hobi hyung? Will you forget about us once your pack becomes Yoongi hyung and not us anymore?" Taehyung asked, a bit desperately.

Hoseok shook his head, "No, no. I...I won't forget about you guys...I think that's getting a bit ahead of ourselves though, don't you think? Who knows if Yoongi hyung even wants to mate or not..."
