The first time

Chapter 5

I wondered around the corridors for a while , i took out my timetable and saw that my next lesson was English and then i glanced at my watch. Yes i was 10 minutes late , great. I quickly turned around and spead walked towards the english block. 

As i stormed in 15 minutes late i got stares from the whole class " Is there a reason why your 15 minutes late miss hammonds?" Mr Hampshire asked as he put down the book he was reading.

" Ermm... I got lost?" i said uncertainly.

" Yeah sure , just take a seat , we're reading ' Hamlet ' which you would have known if you'd turned up on time" Mr hampshire snapped as he picked up his book.

I hurried to my seat , luckily Doug was in this lesson so i wasn't alone. I grabbed the seat next to him , he raised his eyebrows as if to say ' where have you been' i just shrugged and grabbed my book.

He wasn't going to let it go though , throughout the next half an hour all i got was 20 questions 'why were you late , where were you , who were you with , blah blah blah' i managed to zone out of Doug and zone into Hamlet. I'd read this book before it wasn't my favourite  , infact i really disliked it , the guy hamlet in it is so annoying he won't kill this guy cos he's like scared of not going to heaven but then kills some other guy who did nothing wrong , im like wtf your so stupid just kill that other guy. 

Thankfully i had lunch next so when English i zoomed out of the classroom trying to avoid Doug , like that was going to happen.

" Caddy , will you please tell me where you were , i thought we were best friends please stop ignoring me " Doug says sadly and i can see taht he is genuinley worried.

I sigh " I'll tell you once we've got food , please lets just go to lunch , i could eat a horse im so freakin hungry" 

He nods happy with my response , we walk into the dinner hall and join the line. Doug is extremley popular in this school so we are immediatley at the front of the que.

" Ill have a bacon sandwich and a coke please" i say with a smile to the dinner lady , she dosn't even smile back she just hands me the food and i pay her. Doug gets the same as me , like I've said we are practically twins.

We turn around and walk towards the main table in the middle of the lunch room , its a big table thats made up of a few tables put together , the table consists of most of the football team and they're girlfriends. I see Danny and john sat in the middle of the table surrounded by everyone.

Suddenly im brought out of my daydream by somebody calling my name. 

" Caddy ... earth to caddy ... your sitting with me today , right?" Nate asks as he waves a hand infront of my face.

" Nar dude keep walking , shes not interested" Doug says as he steps infront of me getting all protective.

" Wait no .. Doug chill .. Yeah sure can you give me a minute to talk to Doug? I'll meet you at the table" I say stepping out from behind doug.

Nate nods and walks to a table , i turn to Doug and slap him on the shoulder.

" Hey what was that for?" Doug asks as he strokes his shoulder.

" For being such a douche , what was alll that about ' Nar dude' what the hell is wrong with you , you can be a jerk sometimes , ill see you tommorow" I say as i turn around.

" Wait i thought we were going to the movies tonight ?" Doug asks sadly

" Well change of plan.. yeah see you tommorow Doug" i walk to the table and place my sandwich and coke down on the table. 

" So who was that guy , was he your boyfriend cos if he ..." Nate Started.

" Are you joking me ?" i asked rudely.

" I just thought that..."

" Yeah well lets get some things straight , one ,  im not a whore ,i wouldnt kiss you if i had a boyfriends , two , me and Doug are best friends that would be... Ewwww"  i said as i ripped open the packaging on my sandwich and shoved it in my mouth.

I looked up to see Nate staring at me " What?" i asked with my mouth full of bacon.

Alll of a sudden Nate burst into laughter and threw his head forward laughing like a hyena. I couldnt hold in my laugh either , i erupted into a fit of giggles. 

After a solid 2 minutes of laughing we slowly calmed down. 

" aww your so cute when you laugh" Nate said as he grabbed my hand and weaved our fingers together , i just let him.

I blushed at his comment and picked up my sandwich.  

" So i have another quesion?" Nate said shyly. I stopped munching and looked at him dead in the eye the last time he said that it ended up in a full blown make out session so this time i needed to be more prepared. I placed my sandwich on the table and took a deep breathe.

" Ok , shoot" i said , totally prepared for whatever he wanted to ask me , anything.

" Caddy Hammonds , will you be my girlfriend?..."
