Second year

Tetsuya pov

Wow it's been almost a year since I quit basketball and transferred.
The third years graduated. We lost the in the quarter finals in nationals.
I'm happy with my girlfriend Aoi. The team were like a family. Kazuya became captain and zono and Youichi became vice captain's. Everyone's been working hard.

Today the introduction for the first years who want to join the team. We have some the show promise too.

One is the former captain of the little league baseball team Yui Kaoru

Another okumura Koshu

Another is seto Takuma

And Yuuki Masashi tetsu-senpais kid brother

There's a lot of others here just diamonds in the rough just like eijun. Well this year will be interesting. I heard laughing not to far from where I am. Miyuki is thinking the same I think, ah eijun is now yelling. Oi you guys stop that or you'll get double the running! Oh well it's there fault not mine. Hmmm that tall glasses dude reminds me of Kouishirou, what was his name again asami, asano, oh wait Asada was his name I think. He's sharing the same dorm room as Youichi and Eijun. He said he's a pitcher. Hmmm I wonder what I can ask him to pitch for me. I wanna see his pitches first hand

"Oi------OI!!! OI! TETSUYA!!!" I heard kuramochi calling me "Yes Youichi. What do you need?" "YOU were spacing out man. Don't tell me your thinking about your no good ex teammates again" he's worried about me. Awwww of course he is he's a vice captain after all  "I'm not I promise. I'm actually looking at all the new recruits. All of them seem to be diamonds in the rough that they have yet to discover. Some already making themselves known. You can see it in their eyes that they want to head to nationals. And that asada, is that his name? He seems to be another Tanba"  "you were thinking that much huh? Well yeah I also think Asada's another Tanba but I don't think there's any need to rush he still has another 2 years. And yeah some of them are already trying to make it into the 1st string just like last year" we were cut off by the coaches speech

" ....But I also want you to observe your senpais attitude and approaches during practice" ok now this got our attention "they have experienced koushien. They have learned from it, and they have understood what they need to do from now on. All of that will be showing in their every move when they practice. So first see the baseball we are seeking to achieve with your own eyes and feel it with your own skin!!!" (Ehem please know I'm writing it how it says in the manga. I know it's different from the anime a little but I rather it being from the manga then the anime) *gasp* who knew gramps can have a way with encouraging them but also us too. Well we can't have the first year beat us. We ain't losing!!!

Small time skip to the end of practice

After taking a bath I headed to our cafeteria for dinner. I was there earlier then expected and helped make some of the food to pass time. The ladies that I helped cook thanked me after I was done.
After grabbing my food and sitting down at a table I was eating peacefully until a certain loud mouth hand to ruin it but it can't be helped. I didn't even notice that some of the first years were sitting in front of me struggling to eat the 3 bowls of rice that we have to eat

"Oi you guys are forcing yourselves to eat. Just eat a little bit at a time. I know it's hard at first but it will get better and besides you'll need it for when the training camps comes along. Its definetly hell to us" some of them were shocked I started talking with them while others still gagging from the food they just digested " Well don't worry though all of us were in your shoes in our first year. Well besides me. I had to eat that much when I first started middle school. So it wasn't that bad for me" explaining to a bunch of first years is kinda hard but they can be easier to talk to "easier......EASIER!!! TETSUYA you were practically trained for it" " hey not my fault my grandpa forced me to eat 3 bowls when I entered middle school" " your grandpa forced you to eat 3 bowls!? Just who is he?" The boy named seto said "the head coach why" "T- THE HEAD COACH are you serious!!!" "Yeah, gramps can be a demon sometimes but I say it's worth it" " Wait senpai what's your full name then" "Kataoka Tetsuya But please call me Tetsuya so you don't get me or my gramps mixed up" " h-hai" " now get to eating before kanemaru comes and yells at you guys"

After dinner I went straight to the indoor gym to practice some pitching. I didn't notice that someone followed me here till I heared the noise of the door opening. I smiled

" Hey your finally here" I called out "nii-chan long time no see" "Yeah long time no see Tesuna. It's good to see your doing well" " you as well nii-chan. I'm glad you stopped basketball and decided to come back to baseball" "Well baseball was always the sport I felt I can be myself" " Well how's mom and dad?" " good they said to come show your face sometimes. You haven't visited since the ending of nationals" " Yeah sorry been busy with school and the team" " mhmm I see" "I'll see if I can go when there's a break" " Ok maybe we can have some sibling time" " Yeah it's been awhile since we had one of those"

After talking with Tesuna for awhile we decided to get back to the dorms. She's staying in one of the dorms here since our house is a little far away and our parents are over protective of her and that includes me I mean she's my little sister I have too. Well I headed to bed around after midnight coming back from dropping off Tesuna at her dorm. I see that the first year staying in my dorm is asleep or trying to. Probably shocked that I only came back the our dorm room after midnight but it's normal for us too
