Dear Sister-In-Law, We Hate You

I sit on the lounge watching the news broadcast Rocky's appearance in the US. They outline his success and how he's achieved so much at such a young age. Whilst the broadcaster speaks about Rocky, my mind goes back to what Rydar, Daniella and Rocky have spent the past two days planning.

While I'm sitting here in the penthouse away from curious eyes, they're planning on their move.

Rydar is making an appearance in the office today to lure Nathan further into their plan and Daniella, she's going to crush Rocky's date...or meet up with Rachel, whatever you choose to call it. She's going to bad mouth me and praise Rocky finally getting rid of me. Daniella and Rachel go way back so Rachel won't see it coming, and to top it off, Daniella is going to be so pleased to see Rachel back in Rocky's life.

My phone pings. Guess who is about to submit their annual figures. They may be incorrect but he doesn't need to know that.

I laugh at Rocky's text before replying, He's going to make a well deserved loss. Too bad I'm not there to see him hit submit.

He's been on edge. I heard him speak to Rachel and they've had an argument. It's looking good on our side.

I type up the text. Seriously, who are you and why do you have so much charm to cause a stir between a husband and wife. Ok ok don't answer that, I've seen first hand what you're capable of. After all, I'm only with you because you practically made me homeless. I mean $2000 rent a week, seriously!!!

A man's got to do what a man's got to do. If you came home when I asked you to, I wouldn't have to have done that. Plus you're here now so all evidence points at the fact you loved me but were in denial.

I chuckle reading his text before typing, whatever and hitting send. Throwing my phone on the lounge beside me, I grab the remote and change the channel.

*Rocky's Perspective*

Nathan and I sit in the meeting room going through our plans, the next steps and how we're going to execute them. Every few minutes, my eyes scan the time on either the clock on the wall or my Rolex. When it hits eleven, I know Rydar is standing behind the door ready for his part.

Three. Two. One.

The door swings open and Rydar walks in rubbing his hands together. "Broth..." he says cutting himself off when he sees Nathan.

I rub my forehead and stand up. "Rydar," I say trying to sound surprised. "What are you doing here?"

He places a hand on my shoulder. "I came to surprise you but I didn't know you were actually in a meeting," he says watching Nathan. "I'll let you get back to it. The receptionist told me you were here alone."

I wave him off and clap him on the back. "Don't be silly," I say before pointing at Nathan and introducing them to one another.

"You doing okay?" Rydar says watching me with concern.

"Why wouldn't I?" I question back.

"I heard about Sky."

I nod but watch Nathan from my peripheral view. He's trying to act like he's not listening but he is.

"Excuse me,"I say to Nathan before walking out of the meeting room with Rydar following shortly behind.

Rydar of course doesn't close the door, allowing Nathan into our private conversation. It doesn't take him long to bad mouth Sky. Him describing her as a money hungry gold digger and that he's glad she's gone. Rydar also brings up mention of the time Sky cheated on me a year ago and how I forgave her. Sky obviously has never cheated but Nathan doesn't need to know that. After that, Rydar spills into the juicy information mentioning confidential information and also about my office back home in Australia. He spills records, figures and even mentions drawing up a contract to sign over Sky's portion back. The portion that Sky doesn't actually have but once again, Nathan doesn't need to know that.
