Bringing in the New Year Right

Zak's POV

I was sitting in my home office going through emails. 

"ZAK!" I heard my wife yell. I quickly stood up and ran to the living room. 

"Yes, Babe?" I asked. 

"Will you please get me a bottle of water?" She asked with a smile. I rolled my eyes and walked into the kitchen. Life with a pregnant wife. I grabbed her a bottle of water. As I walked back into the living room the boys came running down the stairs.

 "DAD!" They yell. I  handed Rebecca her water and then turned to them. 

"BOYS!" I yell back. 

"The Xbox stopped working." Marcus said. 

"Alright, I'll come fix it." I said. They nodded and ran back up stairs. I turned to my wife and shrugged. 

"I married a technology nerd." She said with a laugh.

 "Grr." I said kissing her. "Go help your sons." Becca said pushing on my chest. I walked up the stairs to the twins' room. 

"So whats wrong with it?" I asked. 

"It keeps logging us off." Zachary said. I nodded and took the controller. After a few minutes of tinkering with it, I got it to work. I walked out of the room and found Megan's door closed. That told me she was home from Andrew's house. I walked into the room and found her playing on her computer. I plopped on her bed and watched what she was doing. 

"So how was the drive back?" I asked. 

"Busy." She said. I nodded. 

"Are they coming over tonight?" She asked. I shrugged. 

"I haven't talked to Aaron." I said pulling out my phone. Today is New Years Eve. 

"Zak!" Rebecca yelled from downstairs. I stood up and made my way down stairs. 

"What up, Babe?" I asked. 

"I think my water broke." She said. 

"How did you manage to break a water bottle." I said walking into the kitchen. Right as I opened the fridge door did I know what she meant. I felt myself get light headed. I walked back into the living room. 

"Babe, please tell me you broke a water bottle." I said. 

"Zak, You know what I mean." She said rolling her eyes. I groaned. 

"Kids, Get down here please." I yelled up the stairs. Megan was the first one down. 

"What's wrong?" She asked. 

"Your mom has went into labor and we need to go to the hospital." I said. 

"Are we going with you?" Zachary asked. I looked at Rebecca. 

"Of course." She said standing up. 

"Megan, go grab the hospital bag and anything you might want. Boys, Go grab some things you might want. I'll print off the birth plan and grab some towels." I said. 

"Zak, The birth plan is already printed and in the bag." Becks said. 

"Then only towels it is." I said running up stairs. Once I came back down the kids were walking out the door. I walked over to Rebecca and helped her to the Van. 

"Why do we need towels?" Megan asked. 

"Well, I learned from when you are born that a baby can come at any time. You were born in the back of my Jeep." I said pulling out of the driveway. Rebecca ended up slapping me.

11:40PM

I sat in the chair next to my wife as she fought another contraction. The doctor came in and put gloves on. 

"Alright Mrs.Bagans, Time to check again." She said with a smile. I held my wife's hand as the doctor did her thing. 

"I think it's time." The doctor said. They began to set up the room. Pretty soon they were ready.

17 mins later.

"Come on, Babe. One more time." I encouraged. 

"Fuck You." She said. I had to laugh. 

"Alright Rebecca, One more last time." The doctor said. Rebecca started pushing. Soon I heard a little cry. 

"Nice job, Babe." I said as she relaxed. Pretty soon I was handed our youngest child. 

"The first baby born of the new year." The nurse said. I thought she was crazy until I looked at my phone. 12:05. 

"Give me the baby and go get the kids." Rebecca said with a smile. I handed her the baby and walked into the waiting room. All three of them were on their electronics. 

"Kids, Come meet your brother." I said. The kids followed me into the room. Megan ran over to Becca. 

"He's so cute." She said. 

"You want to holds him?" Rebecca asked her. Megan nodded. Rebecca handed her the baby. A nurse came in. 

"Ok, I need a name." She said. 

"Tyler Christopher." Becca and I said at the same time. The kids laughed. I walked over to Becca and kissed her. 

"Happy New Year." I said. 

"You too." She said Kissing me harder.
