☾Jasey's POV ☾

I'm running, as fast as I can, my mother right beside me. Around corners, through buildings we run away from them, their booming voices still clear in our heads. We make a sharp right and jump inside an old dumpster. Unsanitary, yes. Do I care, no. We hear their footsteps pass and fade out into the distance, as my mother and I catch our breathe. I can still picture my little sister, her image haunting my mind. It's not long until my mother quickly whispers to me. "I need you to leave. Do not go home, go straight to the airport." When I start to question her she just motions for me to stay quiet. She unlatched a small pendant from around her neck, and places it around mine, reclasping it. Then she hands me a plane ticket. "Take this ticket, fly to New York, find your Aunt Joy. She knows you're coming. I love you baby girl. Don't hide who you are meant to be. I'll see you on the other side, Jasey, along with your father and sister. They died for you, you are so much more important than you think. I love you to the moon and back baby girl." I know what's coming. "What, mom no!" "Say it, Jasey!" She screams. Then barely a whisper, "One last time, for me." "I love you momma. Through the stars and back."

I wake quickly, pulling myself upright, relieved it was just a dream. Until I realize I'm not in my room, I'm on a plane. I turn to the guy next to me, and ask him carefully, "Where is this flight headed again?"

He turns to look back at me with an odd look, the starts to chuckle a little bit. "New York."
