Dan's P.O.V.
Rachel leaned in, as if she was a third grader telling a secret, and said,
"You like Phil, and I can tell that Phil likes you. What you have to do, Danny boy, is make Phil jealous. And I know just how to do it. I want you to kiss me." I was dumbfounded.
"Wait, two problems. One, I just told you I'm gay. And two, how is me kissing you going to make Phil like me?"
"I know my Philly...I mean Phil. And he gets awfully jealous. He doesn't know you're gay, right?"
"Actually, you're the first person I told..."
"Anyway, me kissing you in front of Phil will make him blow his stack if he's into you. So, what do you say, Danny boy? Do we have ourselves a plan?" she said as she stuck out her well-manicured hand. I grasped it and shook it, then we were out of the bathroom.
Phil's P.O.V.
I watched Dan and Rachel walk out of the bathroom, glad for them to be back.
"Finally! What took you so long?" I asked, but Rachel just snickered.
"We got a little," Dan laughed,"caught up." I looked, confused, at both of them. Then, I was shocked at what happened next. Dan leaned in towards Rachel, and their lips locked. I gasped as I saw a glimpse of Rachel's tongue making its way into Dan's mouth. I looked away, blinking back tears, and ran into my room. Once I closed the door, my sobs escaped me, silent, but painful nevertheless.
Dan's P.O.V.
I wanted to feel good about knowing that Phil (almost) definitely likes me. Instead, I felt like I wanted to go and cry in my room. Rachel was sitting there, silent, when she blurted out,
"You may be gay, Danny boy, but DAMN, did you go to Women-Kissing school? Because, in my opinion, you should've gotten straight a's." I looked at her, and I chuckled.
"Well, I did have quite a few girlfriends, before..." I trailed off. I looked at Rachel, who was now staring at the path to Phil's room. She nodded, and I took off, sprinting to his room. I knocked, but the only answer I got was,
"Go away, Rach. I don't wanna talk right now." I laughed to myself, then said,
"No, silly. It's me, Dan." I heard a tiny gasp, then the sound of a lock clicking.
Phil's P.O.V.
I unlocked the door and let Dan in. I looked at him. He did NOT look as though he had just kissed a girl; he looked as if he'd kissed a crocodile with bad breath. Staring at his feet, I asked him quietly,
"Why didn't you tell me you liked Rachel?" I expected a laugh or a sigh, but all I heard was Dan's smooth-as-silk voice say,
"Phil, I'm gay." I gasped, then walked over to him and gave him a rib-cracking hug. I whispered in his ear,
"Dan, I'm gay, too." He broke away from my hug for a moment, then came back and hugged me harder than I thought physically possible. I looked at him, then asked,
"Did you kiss Rachel because you wanted to, or to make me jealous?" He giggled, then said,
"What do you think, Philly?" I blushed. Rachel calling me Philly was a little silly. But DAN calling me Philly made me want to melt into the floor. We stayed there for a minute, hugging, until Rachel burst through the door asking,
"So, did you guys hook up yet orrrr..."
