It was the next day and everyone was awake except Lizzie. They let her sleep for a while longer. Maddie was on a break from work so she stayed with her if they had a call. And to no surprise they did. Not long after they got the call Lizzie woke up. She sat up for a few seconds as Maddie looked up from her phone.
"Hey sweetheart, how are y... are you okay?" Just as she tried to finish her sentence Lizzie was bolting to the bathroom. Of course Maddie got up and quickly followed her. She dropped to her knees and started throwing up in the toilet. Maddie held her hair back as she released what little stomach contents she had after a few seconds it was all stomach acid. The team got back just as this was going on. It wasn't a fire call so they didn't have to put anything away. So everyone changed as it was the last call of the day and they made there way upstairs.
"Were back!" Buck shouts as everyone walks up the stairs. "Hello anyone! Maddie? Lizzie?!" Buck yells once more before hearing retching coming from the bathroom. They all make there way over, Buck being faster than the rest of them. They look to find Lizzie still throwing up and Maddie holding her hair back. Buck gets in his knees and starts to rub her back as she is still throwing up.
"Thats it kiddo get it out. Get it all out honey your doing good." He encourages to make her feel a little better. She finally stopped. Lizzie lifted her head. And immediately fell back into Maddie because she was so weak. The two knew that any small movement could hurt her stomach again. So Maddie sat there with Lizzie in her arms as if she were protecting her. They stayed like that for a while and eventually fell asleep like that.

Maddie woke up a few hours later and she gently picked up Lizzie putting her legs around her waist so she would be easier to carry. She walked out of the bathroom to find everyone talking. Hen was the first to notice. She got up and made her way over next to them.
" how is she doing?" Hen asked as the other realize they are out here. "Still asleep but she hasn't thrown up in a while so I'd say thats a semi win." She added. The two chuckled and moved over to the couch. Of course Maddie sat in between Chimney and Buck. Buck looked at his little sisters and smiled at how cute they were together. He then placed his hand on Lizzies head only to feel horrible heat radiating off of her. His smile quickly vanished. "She feels really really hot." Buck announced worried for his sister. Chimney got up and went to find a thermometer and Hen got up to find a wet cloth. They both came back. Hen started trying to cool her down with the wet cloth. And Chimney placed the thermometer in her ear, it came out as 104.9.
" 104.9 that's crazy high. If it goes up any more she may need to go to the hospital." As that was said Bobby got up to get cold water and Lena went to go find fever reduces. Bobby came back and gave the water to Maddie.
" Lizzie, honey... gotta wake up. Just for a second." Maddie said gently shaking her arm trying to wake her up. It took a good minute but she eventually opened her eyes. Lena sat down on the couch and opened the bottle. She took out two and handed them to her. Lizzie sat up and took the medicine. After swallowing the pills. She sat back into the couch and pulled her knees up to her chest. And tried to fall asleep once more. But it didn't work. She laid there listening to them talk trying to fall asleep. After 45 minutes the medicine kicked in and she started to feel a little better. They played a video game and ate popsicles trying to keep it easy on her so she wouldn't over do it. But by the end of the night when the meds wore off she felt the same again and she threw up more. After she was done throwing up they gave her more medicine to help.
" she doesn't feel very warm anymore." Buck said removing his hand from her head as she sat back with a popsicle in her mouth and a game controller in her hands.
" well no duh. Buck she has Tylenol in her system of course her fever went down." Eddie made a smart remark and everyone laughed.
It was soon night time and everyone went to sleep. They gave Lizzie the bed closest to the bathroom incase she needed it quickly. Thankfully she didn't.

The next day

Everyone was awake. And doing what they wanted. And a few minutes later Lizzie came out wearing this

And smiling.

Maddie came up behind her and felt her head.
"She feels... normal?!" Maddie said as the others look up.
They were really happy she was feeling better.

They went on with there day still taking it easy. And ended the day watching the outsiders. One of the best movies in the history of movie if Lizzie does say so herself🤣
