"so he just came at you?" kairi glanced at taylor on his phone before walking into the house, maiya who had put her head phones on during the ride walked past him and up to her room, not before grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl on the counter.

he closed the door behind him. "yeah, i don't know what his problem is."

he actually had a good idea of what it was, that being the fact that kairi was 'rich' in a sense, especially compared to the people in that town. but he didn't want to seem full of himself or shallow in anyway.

"you should confront him or something." she said, rolling her eyes when kairi laughed in her face.

"its you thinking i have that type of confidence for me."

taylor gave her friend a harsh look, she was out of the cameras view for a moment and she seemed to be moving around.

when she reappeared she was standing, rather than her laying position just a few moments ago.

"i think my moms calling me." she told him before starting to walk out her room.

"but you need to stick up for yourself better kai. i know you are sassy and what not but people don't take that seriously and will continue to walk all over you. if you feel some type of way about how you're being treated, say something."

kairi sighed, making his way up the stairs to his bedroom.
"i don't want to start shit with mattias friends." he told her, nonchalantly checking his parents bedroom as he passed it, not surprised to see it empty. work.

"you're a better person than me, if i were you i would have punched him in his face right there. i don't fuck with the disrespect."

"i believe you." kairi laughed as he walked into his room.

"alright my mom wants something, let me go see what shes yelling about. remember what i said though, don't let people treat you any type of way." taylor looking at the screen at her friend who wore a small smile.

"got it."

kairi had just gotten out of his uber in front of the school when he spotted mattia, across the street smoking a cigarette.

he was alone. for someone with so many friends mattia was almost always by himself.

despite his distaste towards smoking kairi crossed the street and approached mattia who watched him carefully as he walked up.

"hey rich boy." he turned his head to exhale, careful not to blow the smoke in the other boys face.

kairi smiled gently, shoving his hands in his sweater pockets.

"hey."

it was quiet for a moment and kairi moved so that he was standing besides mattia, the stench of the cigarette invaded his senses and he grimaced. he really did not know how people could smoke out of their own free will.

without saying anything kairi watched mattia as he continued to inhale the toxicity wrapped in paper.

mattia side eyed him for a moment, blowing the smoke from his mouth before turning towards him. "pictures last longer y'know."

his lips curled up into an amused smirk when he saw the flustered look that came across kairis face. the boys face reddened and he searched for words to defend himself.
