   I laid my head against the wall, thinking about this whole situation I just has gotten myself into and all the lies I was told.

  Tears sprung to my eyes but I refused to give in to it. I looked at my mom with teary eyes to find her looking at me with utter sadness mixed with disappointment. Her disappointment

   " I was only trying to protect you, sweetheart. Belive me.". My mother choked out the words as I shook my head at her, I'm really trying to understand but..... I have to do it.

   " it's too late now. Tell me what he meant because I can't take this anymore. All the lies, the betrayal and the illusions. Was there ever anything you said to me that was true? Huh. You told me you had a good job and we were going to be happy but that was a lie. You told me my family loved me and turned out they never endured my existence. You told me my dad loved me and he was only ignoring me and being so harsh on me just because he was too stressed and he was only taking it out on me and.... I think that's a lie too. Isn't it? ". I took a deep breath as I managed to get that all out with a straight face, however, my mom sucked in a deep breath the moment I mentioned dad.

   
   She took a deep breath as she finally looked at me and said - not before sighing -" fine, your father is a doctor. He worked at a hospital in Canada 20 years ago. That's how I met him. Anyway, we started talking and then talking turned to hanging out for hours and then we finally mustered up the courage and declared our crush on each other ". She smiled lightly at the good memories making me smile with her."  five months later he proposed to me. I knew it was quick and I didn't want to rush anything. So, I said no. ". I looked at her with wide eyes.

  " you what??? ".

  " funny thing, he said the same.". She chuckled. " I told him it was too soon and we need to wait for a while because I wasn't mentally prepared to be married. I was only 25 and he was about 30. We were too young."

  She sighed again before completing " that's when I knew his true colours".

  " what happened?".

She turned to look at me before shutting her eyes and laying her head against the wall. " he raped me".

  " WHATTTTTT? Oh my God. Are you serious? How could he do this?".

" I don't know. He just did it. One day after work, he told me to come over to his place to talk about our relationship and the future and, so on. So, I did. He just kept coming so close to me and I was so naive that I didn't realize what was happening and.. ". She paused to wipe the tears.

" He dragged me to the room and.. He... Did it ".

" it's okay, mom. Now I now why he hates me. ".

" why did you marry him? Why didn't you go to the police? ".

   She laughed at me." because he tricked me. Two years later, I saw him in the street and he kept apologizing for what happened. He kept saying that he was drunk. That he wanted to fix it and he had been looking for me for the past two years. That moment you came running to me and said " mommy. I wanna go the merry - go - round." and he looked at me with rage and I confirmed it with a nod. "

  " and then he just ran and he came back after 2 weeks and started shouting at me and blaming me for not looking for him and telling him immediately and I told him that I couldn't because my family locked me in our countryside house till I gave birth to you and told me to never say a word to the police because of their positing in society and after your father showed up, they made a deal with him to marry me and to cover their shame and embarrassment and that's why... "

  " that's why they hate me. "

  " I'm so sorry, baby. I was only trying to protect you. ". My mother was literally sobbing right now.

  " and what does it have to do with these people who kidnapped us? And who are' the Prey '? And why does everyone fear them? ". I didn't even bother to look at her anymore. I was determined to understand everything.

  " your father is the owner of this corporation. They do tests on people. They claim to know a way to control them and they pick someone every single month to do it but the problem is that they whether end up dead in their own minds or losing their own self "
 

   "  What do you mean? ".

   " I can't answer your that because I don't really know what happens. That's what I heard and I am still as  confused as you. And these people out there are one of them and they have been watching you for a while and they want to do the same thing to you."

  
   She turned to look at me with a very stern look with a puffy red eyes." I want you to run, baby. I need you to understand that if they catch you, you're dead. "

" when they come back here, you will run and never look back and I will try to protect you as much as I can."

  I interrupted her at once, saying " No, mom. I'm not leaving you here. You are everything I have. No one else is here but you. ".

" Go to Harry, Harry styles, and mention my name and he will immediately understand and he will protect you. ".

 
   What? How does she know harry?

    " How do you know Harry? You mean my professor? ".

    " yes, sweetie. That's him just go to him and_ "

   Suddenly, the door was slammed open, showing two muscular guys.

   We both sucked in a deep breath.

   "  I guess she told you everything. Right, darling. Anyway, we are taking you to a trip. So, hurry up, my lady ".

  Mother looked at them with wide eyes before screaming  "NOOO. LEAVE  HER ALONE."

  They laughed so hard just when they dragged a screaming me out of the room by pulling my hair.

   The moment they took out their guns to shut my mom up forever, a very familiar voice growled in a very dangerous low voice saying

 
  " Put. The. Gun. Down."

I opened my eyes to look at him to see

        Green eyes

    Filled with rage

But that wasn't for me

I smiled at him knowing exactly what mother meant.

  He was going to protect me
