After the reception, the couple booked a hotel for their honeymoon. They paid for a room with every service provided to them as soon as they arrived.
Getting into the room, Bolu hurriedly went to the bathroom, removed the wedding dress, and changed to something comfortable. She sat on the toilet seat and began to cry. She cried as much as she could until Austin heard her and arrived at the toilet to be sure she was okay. "Look, Bolu, I'm sorry, I am. I know this isn't what you wanted, but I'm sure I'll make it up to you big time." He said as he placed his hands on her shoulder. Bolu glared straight into his eyes suddenly and said, "I wish you could understand how I feel right now. This wasn't my wish! I can't be happy; please leave me alone!" She screamed at him.
"Bolu! What do you think would have become of you if you didn't get married to me today? You would have been married off to that old seventy-year-old man all in the name of you need a connection to get your dad out of prison?? Look Bolu! I know you don't love me, but I'm the best lawyer that can handle your dad's case. You have to make this marriage work; the world has to believe that we are in love; this would help the campaign for your dad's release. I don't know what else I should have done, but I did it to help your family." Austin said calmly, staring back into Bolu's eyes.
"What did my dad do so wrong for him to get arrested? Everyone knows he got framed, and he's very innocent, we have to get to the bottom of this matter. Even tho I and my Mum are not happy with this wedding; she still had to remind me that this whole thing is for my dad's sake even on the alter. It broke me, but I'll just have to keep holding it in." Bolu said as she opened the toilet door to enter the room. "So now, what's your plan? What's our next move?" She said as she sat on the bed.
"Bolu! The first step is for us to act as a perfect couple, then leave the rest to me. I'll fix everything."A few weeks later, the couple was on the news as the latest couple in town, everyone posting their pictures on social media as a couple of goals and all.
Austin received given full authority over Bolu's dad trial, and he became the family's lawyer automatically.
Bolu came back from work one faithful day, entering into the sitting room, she saw a letter on the center table, she was curious on how it got there, which made her open the message to read fast.
"Hey, Bolu! I know I made you trust me for some weeks despite everything you're going through, but I'm so sorry to say this to you, I've gone for good. Don't try looking for me; I'm no longer in the country. Ohh!! by the way, leave that house very fast because the new owners should be on their way there already. Yes! I sold it; I sold all your properties. You shouldn't have trusted me too much. Your dad is a criminal, and he's getting no bail, he's going to rut in jail. I know you're wondering how I got access to your dad's properties? I threatened him to give me his will; if not, I was going to make you join him in jail. Your dad was shaking in fear. I'm currently laughing at your psycho family, and I promised myself I was going to mess you up in a month. Lastly, I was the one who framed your dad for embezzlement. I hope you stay alive because I'm living good right where I am. Take care, Bolu."
Bolu collapsed after reading the letter, her assistant at the door quickly rushed in and called an ambulance.
Till today, Bolu is still in a psychiatric hospital. It's been five years now. The letter has evidence of her dad's innocence, but she's not in her right state of mind for her to testify in the court. I pray everything turns around for the better, and her dad's innocence will be proven to the world soon.
