Woke up abruptly this morning, building administration was doing their announced sprinkler inspections.

Couldn't get out of bed for long, made myself some lunch. Migo-reng, which is a type of instant noodle based on a Malaysian dish and leftover hotpot.

Slept the entire day until it was time to start cooking chicken curry. My wife requested that I cook it for dinner today. Its her one of her favourite dishes and I specifically learned how to cook it for her.

The whole thing took two hours to cook but seeing her eat it with gusto, made the whole thing worth it. And to be honest whenever I try to do something nice for someone else it kinda makes the emptiness go away a while.

Did something different with the chicken thighs when I cooked it. Cut it into strips rather than cubes and used butter to fry it up. I must say it is a significant improvement from just using canola oil.

Anyway, when my wife got home she brought me back some leftover cake which was nice. Today was really nice, even though I felt awful during the start of it.

PS I did cook a large pot of curry that it was enough for my wife to have it for lunch for the next two days. That sure to keep her happy.

Here is the recipe I reference :
