FORGIVE ME
THE WINTER BREAK had officially came to a close for the students of Hogwarts, and the new year had finally arrived.Macy Scrivenshaft had ended up staying at Hogwarts in secret until the second day of January, for her birthday happened to be on the first. Willow Grace didn't get to see much of her, due to Macy spending most of the day with Dawn, locked up in the dorms and not allowing anyone else entry for the day. But, Willow happened to pass her in the Slytherin common room the evening before she left, and offered her a quick hug.
Willow waited for Macy to say something. Something about Dawn, or about how she wished she could spend some more time with all three of them together. When they pulled away from the tight embrace, Willow couldn't help but see the look in her eyes, wanting to say something. But still, Macy simply walked out, probably to find the one-eyed witch statue to sneak back through the passageways.
Biting her lip, Willow paced the common room and debated whether she should go and talk to Dawn. They hadn't spoken much since their random fallout after the party, and Willow had resorted to spending time with her Cameron, Oliver, and her brother. She also occasionally ate a meal with Olympia, spewing any sort of problem she may be having to the older girl, then Olympia giving advice and sharing stories in return.
"The best thing for you to do now is try and talk to her," Olympia had said to Willow one morning at breakfast. Willow had been rambling about how much she missed Dawn, and asked Olympia for help. "We both know that Dawn isn't going to make the first move, because that's just how she is. But if you go to her first, she won't have a choice."
"She could shoot me down," Willow had replied. "She could say 'no, I'm done with you. I'm leaving you for Macy.' I don't know what I would do then."
"You really think she would ditch you over some silly fight? Look, seeing how you've reacted to all of this, I bet your ass she's feeling the exact same. No doubt she misses you too," Olympia smiles, and offers Willow some of her muffin. Willow accepts, but doesn't find the energy to actually eat the offerings.
After a few moments of silence, Willow inhales sharply. "I'm gonna go find her."
"I would check the Astronomy tower first. She seems to be up there a lot whenever I go up there with Oliver," Olympia gives Willow a wink, and she gratefully smiles back towards the older girl. Smoothing down her robes, Willow departs from the Gryffindor table, speed-walking her way down to the doors.
A little ways down, Lee Jordan had been sitting with some of his friends, laughing rather loudly over something he had said. Without really realizing, Willow scans the group for either of his ginger friends, but didn't see them anywhere. The blonde girl feels a wave of relief rush over her as she stares down at the floor, careful to not make eye-contact.
