I woke up before Spencer and made my way to the kitchen, feeling like I was floating. I made coffee for him and hummed as I got out flour and sugar, ready to make waffles (even though I didn't know how to do that).
Spencer rushed into the room, completely dressed, and grabbed his bag which was sitting on the counter.
"Are you dressed?" He asked, his voice flustered.
    "What?"
"Are you dressed?" He repeated, his voice louder.
    "No, I-"
"Go get dressed, we have to leave now."
"What's happening?" I asked, walking towards my closet, starting to get more and more nervous.
"JJ's missing." Spencer said, and I gasped.
"What?" I asked, feeling my heart rate grow faster, changing quicker than I ever thought I could. I grabbed a hair tie and followed Spencer out the door.
"She never went home yesterday after leaving early." I couldn't stop my hands from shaking as Spencer and I ran down the stairs to the car.
"This is a joke, right? Please tell me you're joking." I unlocked the car and hopped inside, stepping on the gas quicker than Spencer could shut the door.
"I'm calling her again." He said, looking down at his phone. I sped the car much faster than the speed limit allowed, but I didn't care. This was a matter of JJ. This was a matter of family. "Damn it, she's not answering."
I parked and got out of the car, running towards the elevator. This was a nightmare. A horrible, twisted game that never ended. I wanted to cry and scream and give up but instead, I ran towards the danger after the elevator let us off and bolted to Emily's desk.
"Where is everyone?" I asked, looking around at the almost completely empty room.
"In the conference room, come on." Spencer ran towards it and I followed. There everyone was, sitting in the room except for Hotch and Morgan. No one even noticed when we walked in.
"What the hell is happening here?" I exclaimed as I watched Emily pace back and forth. She looked at me.
"We can't find JJ, she's not home, she's not with family, she's not picking up the phone." Emily explained and I sighed, biting my nails, something I hadn't done in a long time. I turned to Garcia who sat typing furiously into a computer.
"Can't you track her phone?" I asked, coming behind her to see what she was doing.
"Yeah, I can, normally, but it's off, her phone is off." Garcia looked stumped and angry at her inability to help.
"We're gonna find this asshole," Morgan said, storming into the room. "They can try to stop us, but we're getting JJ back." He was clearly angry as he slipped his phone into his pocket. I sighed, unable to move as Spencer walked around to the whiteboard.
"Uh, guys?" Garcia asked, looking down at her computer. "I just got a pretty concerning email." Morgan, Emily and I came behind her, looking at a strange email.
"I will come for you all," Emily read. I shivered. I couldn't believe this was happening.
"This is... holy crap." I whispered, and watched as Garcia desperately tried to track the I.P. address to find out where the email came from.
"This is impossible. He's playing with us." Morgan seemed even angrier than before. He shook his head.
"We'll find her." I assured him, even though I knew I was lying to myself and to him.
"If he says that he's coming for us all, he'd have to be nearby, he'd have to be watching us, right?" Rossi asked as Hotch walked into the room.
"No one goes home alone," Hotch said, nodding in my direction. "We're finding JJ. I don't care what anyone tells us."
"He'll send us a clue. Everyone just look out for it, okay?" Spencer said, looking around at us. "This unsub will do that. He wants us to find her."
"Well, if he wanted that, he would have just not have taken her in the first place." Morgan said. He sounded incredibly pissed, because he was.
"We all just need to calm down," Hotch said, always the voice of reason. "Let's go home, take a break. If we're all freaking out, we'll never get anything done. Plus, the unsub might be leaving us clues at our homes." Rossi nodded.
"Stick together. This unsub preys on people who are by themselves." He warned before grabbing his jacket and walking out the door.
"Stay safe, everybody."
