Oakley's POV
Today is my first gig! I'm so excited about it. I've always had a passion for music, and I finally get to share it with everyone. On the other hand, I'm also very nervous. What if they don't like me? I've really only sang and played for my family and a few friends.

It was actually my bffa Melody Piper that convinced me to try out this gig. She helped me book the job at the Beanstalk Bakery. My other friend Meeshell helped me chose what songs to play. My sister Scarlett even helped me with my outfit. I knew that I was totally prepared.

Scarlett dropped me off at the Beanstalk Bakery. I walked inside and found the manger. He showed me where I was playing and helped set up a microphone. I got my sheet music out in case I needed it, and I tuned my ukulele. I was ready to roll.

I started out by playing a popular songbook Taylor Quick called "Love Story." I wanted the crowd to like me before I started playing my original songs. Everything was going smoothly, until my voice cracked during a higher note.

My face turned as red as Cerise's hood. This was a super embarrassing way to start off my first gig. I managed to calm down and finish the song strong. To my surprise, a bunch of people clapped. They liked me! This was a huge boost to my confidence.

I played another popular song called "Confident" by Destiny Lovato.
"What wrong with being, what's wrong with being, what's wrong with being confident?
Ohhaooo!" I sang. I nailed the notes in this song. I was just bubbling with joy.

The people liked this song too. A lot of them bought their coffee then sat down to listen to me play more! I received lots of tips too. My confidence was improving with each song that I played. I was ready to play my original songs.

I played I wrote called Dark Half. It's about my wolf side and how everyone thinks that I'm evil, when I'm really not. If any of my sisters were to be evil, it would definitely be Ramona! She's not evil or anything, she is just more wolfey.

I strummed the strings on my ukulele and began to sing. The song flowed out of me like a river. It all came from the heart, and I could feel my love of music pulsing through my body as I sang. The words came out clear and beautiful.

My confidence was increasing by the second. I decided to try out a hard note. I inhaled then held the note. It come out beautifully. I saw tears in peoples eyes. I couldn't believe that I had brought tears to peoples eyes! It takes a really talented singer to do that.

I was just beaming with pride. This job turned out way better than I had expected. It made me want to sing in public more. I had the confidence and skill, so I was practically unstoppable! I also had the drive to work hard and accomplish things.

After I finished my final song, I had a line of people coming to ask me to preform at their restaurants and parties. I booked so many jobs in so little time! I also made a huge profit in tips. This first job was definitely a success!

I decided to update today :)
I'm not a musician, and this was a bit out of my comfort zone writing. I enjoy trying new things out and challenges, so this book is good for me to test things out with. Each character has a big personality, so I really have to have that personality shine through.
I hope that you all like it so far! Also comment who you want the next chapter to be on.
