"We should probably go," Peter says as we stood in front of a small house. There are cards, bouquets, and toys cluttering the porch. I smile at the house in front of us, knowing exactly where we are. I swayed slightly, still tired and a little pissed from being woken up.
"Peter, we're literally on the doorstep," Gwen says, annoyed and I roll my eyes. I inched closer to the door, Miles watching me and Peter shaking his head at me.
"Bad idea, bad idea, this is a bad idea--" Peter rambles as I get closer to the house.
"Just relax" Gwen tells him as the door opens a crack, Aunt May's eyes peer out.
"You guys are all very sweet but no more fans today, please" May's voice calls out, my heart ache as I heard her voice. I know this is so hard on her and I turned to look as Peter as May's eyes widened. She steps out onto the porch, stunned as her eyes lock onto Peter. I walk up to the porch and stand next to Aunt May, placing my hand on her shoulder.
"I'm not ready for this" Peter mumbles out from where he stood with Gwen and Miles, I shake my head a bit.
"Peter.." Aunt May whispers as she got closer, still shocked.
"Hey Aunt May.." Peter says, warily "So this is going to sound crazy... but I'm pretty sure that I'm from an--"
"--An alternate dimension" Aunt May finished , I tilted my head at her before looking back at the others.
"Yeah," Peter replies as May touches his face in awe, he absorbs her touch. I make my way over to Miles, taking in the scene before my eyes.
"You look tired, Peter" May says to him and look over at Peter, it's true, he really does look tired.
"Well I am tired" Peter replies as May takes in his appearance, I knew what was coming next.
"And older" she noted "And... thicker", "Yeah, I've heard that already" That makes me let out a soft chuckle, earning a elbow in the ribs from Miles. I just give him a face that says 'What?'
"Oh jeez, are those sweatpants"
"Yup. That's what they are" Gwen answers and May looks over at the three of us, I see Miles fiddling with his fingers.
"I was there..." Miles states "when it all happened. I'm so sorry" I look at the ground, my hair curtained my face from view. I feel a hand on my shoulder and my head darts up, seeing that it was May.
"And what dimension are you from?" Aunt May asks as I feel her gently squeeze my shoulder, she knew what was going through my mind at the moment.
"Brooklyn." Miles replies, then asked "Did Peter have a place where could make another one of these?" He pulls out the busted key, Aunt May regards it.
"A goober.. follow me" she says a May leads us to the backyard, not before turning to talk to Miles.
"If you were there does that mean you were the one to save Blake?" Aunt May asks while fulling my hair, I just stood there silently as the scene played back to me.
"Uh, yeah" Miles replies, nervous and scared for what was about to come next.
"Thank you" May says before turning around and continuing to lead us to the backyard, she kicks open a door and leads us the the shed in the tiny yard. I smile as I saw the shed, rushing over to it.
"Oh yeah, I got one of these too." Peter says "A little shed where I keep my spidergear--" I gave a smirk as a spider-graphic begins to glow on the shed's door, which opens to reveal an elevator. We enter the elevator and I said in the corner, trying to get away from the others for a bit.
"I mean, this place is pretentious." Peter mumbles.
The lab is crammed with crime-fighting and science gear, photos, hangout furniture, not to mention every Spider-branded product in existence. We reach the bottom, fan out, exploring.
I quickly walk away from the others, walking to some of the cases with suits. I placed my hand on one of the cases, it was a black and red suit. I turned my head to see May staring at me, I give her a thumbs up to show that I was fine. Though I know she isn't going to buy that.
"Whoa. Dude, was yours anything like this?" I heard Miles ask Peter as I focused on the suit, I subconsciously tug on the neck of my own.
"Mine was like this, but take away the jeep, the plane..." Peter starts "imagine it way smaller. Imagine a futon. I feel sad for this guy." I roll my eyes and skae my head with a small smile, I look around to notice Peter finding a photo. I immediately know what photo it was and was about to go over when I heard Miles say something to him.
"Hey Peter, I think this is a cape." Miles says pointing at the spider suit with a cape, I watch as Peter smiles and Gwen watches the interaction. I wander around until I found another photo, it was of me and Peter. I pick it up carefully and couldn't help but smile, we were on the tallest building of New York. It was a week after I got bit, I still haven't gotten over my fear of heights during the time. We were both in our suits, I was clutching onto his arm, my eyes wide with fear but a small smile on my face. Peter was laughing as he held the camera out, I remember laughing shortly have the picture was taken. I put it down as Aunt May's voice snapped me out of my memory.
"Peter knew how dangerous the job was. But he figured the only one who could stop this guy was SpiderMan." May said before looking over at me, "eventually he started to believe Storm Spider could do it as well." I smile a little, looking at the photo before walking over to Gwen.
"Kingpin knows we're coming. We're going to be outnumbered." Miles said and my eyebrow furrowed at the mention of Kingpin.
"Don't be so sure." May says as she handed us blank name tags, "You might need these."
Suddenly my spider senses rings out, I hear Miles gap as Gwen and I spin around, both of us on high alert. Peter, Miles, Gwen, and I were shocked at what we saw before us.
"You think you're the only people who thought to come here?" May says and I grin at that, I hear blinds flicker open. A black-and-white figure is lit with venetian blind shadows, whose coat is inexplicably billowing around him
"Hey fellas," The figure spoke and look at him with confusion.
"Is he in black and white?" Miles asks.
"Where is that wind coming from? We're in a basement." Peter says.
"What the fuck is this?" I ask as the figures speaks.
"Wherever I go, the wind follows." he says "And the wind, smells like rain."
"Ok then" I mutter as I hear a machine whirring above me, I see a girl jump down from above us.
"Hi guys! Konichiwa! Hajimemashita yoroshuku?" the girl speaks in Japanese and I try to process everything. Suddenly a spider robot dropped down behind the girl in a spider pose, "Ok, what is going on?" I thought.
"This could literally not get any weirder." Peter says when a pig in a spider suit walks out, he sticks his hand out for Peter to shake.
"It CAN get weirder!" the pig says "I just washed my hands that's why they're wet. No other reason."
My spidey-senses go off again and I look at the four new figures in front of me, realization dawning in.
"You're like me" we all say in unison.
