"Ms. Hudson, I'm going to need you to give us your statement about what happened last night." Detective Lassiter said from across the silver table. I looked up at Detective O'Hara and she nodded sympathetically. I took a deep breath.

"Um, last night was our back to school night bonfire on the beach and a few of us decided to go a little farther down the beach." I looked down at my blood covered hands and started shaking a little. "I left my phone with one of my Delta Sigma sorority sisters so I ran back to get it. When I got back they were all dead and Derek went missing." I said letting the tears stream down my face.

"About how many other people were you with?" Detective Lassiter asked.

"5. Matthew Reid, Brianna Cowelll, Joshua Hernandez, Jennifer Hummel, and Derek Moore." I said.

"What was you're relationship with those people?" Detective O'Hara asked.

"Brianna and Jennifer were in Delta Sigma with us. Derek, Matthew, and Joshua were in the fraternity we always had parties with. We all met on rush night Freshman year. I also briefly dated Derek before he broke up with me." I said.

"Can I ask her a few questions?" A mans voice said over an intercom.

"Not now Spencer!" Lassiter said through gritted teeth. A white man with brown hair and an African American man burst throught the door.

"Spencer! What did I just say!" Lassiter said.

"You said 'not now'. Now was ten seconds ago." The guy said.

"Cheif Vick sent us in here." The other guy said.

"Fine. You have ten minutes." Lassiter said before storming out of the room. O'Hara stood up, exchanged an awkward glance with the first guy, and rushed out of the room.

"Katherine Hudson, is it?" The first guy said opening what I assumed to be the case file. I nodded.

"Shawn Spencer head psychic of the SBPD, this is my sidekick Burton Guster." Shawn said.

"You can call me Gus. And if anything, he's the sidekick." Gus said.

"Ask her the damn questions!" Lassiter's voice yelled through the intercom.

"So, Katherine, how old are you?" Gus asked. I opened my mouth to answer before Shawn interrupted me.

"Gus this isn't a dating show." Shawn said.

"I was just asking a question!" Gus said defending himself.

"Well it was a dumb question! She's obviously a senior in college so she's about 23." Shawn said. My eyes widened in amazement and Gus rolled his eyes.

"Did you notice anything unusual last night?" Shawn asked.

"Um, the bonfire was mainly for the Delta Sigma's and the Kappa Tau's but some guys from other frats crashed it." I said thinking back to last night.

"How do you crash a bonfire?" Gus asked Shawn.

"We usually get permission from the city to block off a section of the beach to have to ourselves. Once some seniors from a different frat came me and my friends went to a different section of the beach." I said.

"This may be a little difficult, but could you tell us everything that happened last night?" Gus asked.

Flashback

"Come on Kitty. Live a little tonight. It's our last back to school bonfire!" Derek yelled over the pounding music. I shook my head.

"I'm sober driver tonight, remember?" I said. He rolled his eyes.

"We could call a cab." He said. I shook my head.
