Kat's P.O.V
"Kat get up we are going to be late for school" I heard my dad say. Ugh, my dad wanted to freaking move to this city and today I had to start an all new school. That means having to make all new friends. It took me forever to find friends at my last school just because my dad taught at the high school and I was at the middle school. This year was only going to be worse because it's my first day of high school. That means my dad teaches in the same building and everyone will know.
"O.k. I'm awake. Now go away so I can take a shower and get ready." I replied quietly.
"Oh good, that means I don't have to talk with you about your smell. It's all around the house now and I didn't want to have to be the one to break it to you" he whispered with a smirk. I slapped his arm playfully and he left me to get ready. I first took my shower and went to pick out my outfit.
You see the way my room is laid out is a rather large room with my queen size bed on one of the four walls. On the wall opposite my bed were two doors that led to my own bathroom and a walk-in closet. I also have a door in my bathroom that leads straight to my closet.
I decided on a long blowy tank top with red at the top blue in the middle and yellow at the bottom. My shorts are just simple blue jeans but have that ripped feeling to them. Over her top I wore a sleeveless grey pull-over and some black bracelets. Quickly grabbing my silver sandals and some aviators, I walked back into the bathroom to finish getting ready.
I pulled out my straightener and made sure my hair was flawless. Next I went to my make-up compartment. I washed my face then rubbed it with some face moisturizer and put foundation on my face. After that I put on many layers of mascara and some black eyeliner. Checking over my appearance once more, I turned and headed down the stairs to get breakfast.
"You look good today" Dad said to me.
"Thank you, Thank you, I try"
"So Kat- my nickname from him -what do you want for breakfast?" My dad had thought of the name Kat because he didn't quite like the sound of Katherine so that is what he calls me.
"Umm, just an apple" I said really hoping he would just let me be. Half a year back I got really depressed and stopped eating. My dad found out and was automatically there to help me. I was slightly slipping back into it because we moved here but I don't blame my dad for it.
"Waffles it is then" He replied obviously knowing what was going on. "Listen Katie, I know moving here was hard on you and I know you think it's going to be horrible but don't go back there. Promise me, please"
"Alright, I promise. I'm really sorry dad"
"It's okay, I just love you too much to lose you" I could tell it really hit deep. First off just because he loves me with all his heart and couldn't bear to lose me. Secondly because after mom died I am the only thing he has and he is the only the thing I have. I feel really bad for hurting him like this. "Hey don't take this out on yourself"
I instantly felt better and gave him a big hug. He just smiled down at me and kissed my forehead. After he made our breakfast we headed to the car. Maybe today wasn't going to be that bad. When we arrived I got out of the car and walked into the school alone. Finding my locker was easy; trying to find my classes was a different story.
"Are you new here?" some boy asked. I couldn't help but secretly admire how cute his shaggy brown hair and brown eyes.
"Yeah" I said with one of those looks on my face that just says help me.
"Let me see your schedule maybe I can see where you're going" he was going to show me my classes. Score! cute new friend and help finding classes. As he looked over my schedule I noticed his eyes light up. "We have all the same classes. Haha"
