Katherine Grier attracted oddities.
Her grandmother had told her in old tongue that she was bestowed with a rare gift; Katherine had digressed. No matter if she craved mundane, like a babe craved sugar, she would always find herself staring at empty spaces, having seen a flicker of life—of shadow—only seconds before. It happened all throughout her childhood, really. Classmates would tease, pick on her, call her names—they would say she was a witch and throw things at her during playtime; children are cruel, but very aware.
Somehow, through it all, she managed to keep a portion of her sanity.
Of course, that was until heappeared in her life.
Stephen Strange was the opposite of her; he basked in the unknown; drunk cups of abnormalities—he had long grown to find comfort in such things. It bemused him to encounter someone like Katherine, someone unwilling to waltz in the universe's grand scheme—she reminded him of someone he used to know a long time ago.
She reminded him of his waning humanity.
Thus, this is not just a story, but a journey that stretches far across many dimensions. A journey of mystery and love between two unlikely people, who's destinies are forever intertwined.

I can't tell you how many times I have published and re-published this story, honestly. I've been struggling with the right direction and footing on where I wanted to take it, and after a lot of revising, outlining and reworking, I'm finally able to share with everyone the finished product. There will be sporadic updates; sometimes I'll update two or more chapters in a day, sometimes I'll upload one and et cetera.
I'll be incorporating things from both the Doctor Strange movie(s) and comics. I do not own anything from Doctor Strange or Marvel, but I do own Katherine Grier and the plotlines.
