Final Eclipse

Chapter 0 - Preview

Cozy Glow paced around the room, lost in thoughts. Sunlight beamed through the small cracks on the dreary cave.

Drip, Drop. Water splashed from the ceiling, whilst colliding onto the stone cold floor. The room was dimly lit by a crystal ball sitting on a table in the centre of the premise.

"Can you stop that, Chrysalis? I'm thinking of something," Cozy politely asked, pouting her mouth.

This pink pegasus was a mastermind. Who would've known that a filly almost succeeded at stealing all the magic from Equestria. Who wouldve known she even planned on doing such a villiany thing. The filly had managed to outsmart the protectors of Equestria (and basically everypony else.)

Don't think about her adorable beady eyes, or the curly teal locks bouncing on her head — Never judge a book by its cover.

Chrysalis was sitting on a stone chair, hind legs propped up onto the table. Chrysalis, Queen of the Changelings (or used to), plotted to take her revenge on Starlight Glimmer. She had her own subjects turned against her and transformed into helpless rainbow friendship bugs.

The thought of their reformation disgusted her.

She remembered her defeat so clearly — the pain and rage she had felt, the blood boiling in her veins, the need to crush that goody four shoes Starlight. She was devastated.

Chrysalis stopped tapping her hoof and looked up at the pink pegasus. She still couldn't get over the fact that she had a pony on her team. However, there was something about Cozy Glow that Chrysalis admired. Her intelligence, or her almost success at such a young age, perhaps?

"Fine fine, you cow. What is that you're thinking about anyway?" The changeling finally replied.

Cozy Glow ignored the insult and ushered for Tirek to come over. "I'm gonna share my amazing idea with you guys, and hopefully you'll like it!" Cozy said in her sing-song voice. Tirek rolled his eyes and lazily shuffled over to the other two villains.

The maroon minatour had wreaked anarchy and chaos in the lands of Equestria before as well. Boy, did he want to lay his hands on that cursed Twilight and her puny pony friends. He would've succeeded in stealing all of the magic in Equestria if not for the Magic of Friendship. What even is that? Sounds ridiculous.

"You getting defeated by that sounds ridiculous," Chrysalis shot at Tirek, giving him a smirk.

"Did I think out loud again, peasant?"

"Firstly, yes you did you deaf hoe. Secondly. I forbid you to call me a peasant!" Chrysalis hissed at the red minatour.

"You got defeated by your own kind, dweeb!"

"How dare you bring that up, you fool. Don't remind me of those traitors! Nothing but traitors!"

"Well, maybe if you had been a better queen you couldve-"

"Shut the hell up!" Cozy hollered.

Her voice echoed through the narrow tunnels of the dark cave. Both Chrysalis and Tirek stared in shock. Damn Celestia is she scary when she's mad.

"Listen up, fellas. I'm gonna keep this short and simple." Cozy slammed her hooves on the stone table, eyes shooting daggers at Tirek and Chrysalis. Whoever said this child was the leader of us? They thought.

The pegasi glared at the two, expecting an answer.
"U-uh understood, Cozy." Both replied shakily. I feel like such a fool obeying this pony. Both thought again.

Cozy smiled and returned to her goofy adorable self. Tirek and Chrysalis let out a breath they did not know they were holding up.

"We're gonna find a way to unleash the darkness within the two sisters, and they'll be the key to taking over this god forsaken land called Equestria."

"Hold up, do you mean Frightmare Doom and Night Baker?" Tirek asked, eyebrows raised.

"It's Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon, you goof," Chrysalis rolled her humongous lime eyes.

"Keep rolling your eyes and maybe you'll find your brain back there," the minatour shot back.

The bug queen only scowled at him.

"Sounds like a pretty sweet idea. How'd you suggest we do it?"

Cozy grinned from ear to ear and turned to the crystal ball laying on the table. She proceeded to do some witchcraft with her hooves, and with a little shimmer, Chrysalis's very rival and the two rulers of Equestria were seen on the reflection.

Chrysalis hissed at the sight of the purple mare. In the crystal ball, Starlight had her hooves wrapped over her head, laying inside a magical sphere as she seemed to be bawling her eyes out.

"Hah, good for her!" Chrysalis beamed, receiving an eye roll from the other two.
Two other mares, much taller, were seen in the.. room? They bore both horns and wings, presumed to be alicorns.

"I'm guessing they are Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker," Tirek yawned. The alicorns seemed to be at war with themselves, blasting magical beams at each other. Both the sun and moon, polar opposites, colliding and crashing into the walls of the dream realm.

Cozy found herself getting impatient, then decided to explain what they had to do to unleash the darkness between the royal sisters.

"Enough waiting! I'm just gonna jump straight to it. Listen closely." Chrysalis and Tirek glanced at each other, then inched closer to the pink pegasus.

"So you see here, Starlight is actually dreaming, and this here is what she feared would've happened if the sisters continued arguing . . . . ."
