I grab Devins shoulder as I leap off the bike one final time. He puts the kick stand down and turns towards me.
"Sorry about Melody. She's jealous over everything. We used to go to school together and she wanted me then, but I never gave her a chance. I don't like women who flaunt their shit in peoples faces." He looks me dead in the eye as he undoes the helmet removing it. "I thought for sure you'd slap me when I smacked your ass."
I smile, "No, I figured I'd just go with it. But now that we are here." I wave my hands around. "Where am I sleeping?"
"You can sleep in my bed, I'll sleep on the couch." He says walking up the sidewalk to his front door. He types in a few numbers and the door lock releases. He opens the door and allows me in first. Once we are both inside he closes and locks the door manually."Follow me." His voice cracks through the slightly lit entry way. He flips a switch as the entire all lights up. I gasp in amazement.
Marble floors, open concept, cathederal ceilings. Devin has a damn mansion. I follow him up the stairs and to the bedroom on the right.
"Why this, your room? What about those?" I question.
"That's my office, and that's storage." He points to each of the other two doors. I nod.He flios the bedroom switch and the lights shine on his king sized bed. A white comforter covers the bed, with a side table on either side. A TV placed directly in front of the bed on the dresser and a sofa by the window.
"So, I have no clothes. I forgot to grab them out of my Jeep."
"Damn. You just forget every damn thing don't you now?" Devin turns towards me. "I'll give you a shirt."
I look at him as I try to hold back tears. Jesus this man is rude. I think he notices the tears coming because he turns. What is it with him and seeing me cry?I grab the shirt out of his hand that he offers, still not looking at me. "There's shampoo and body wash and a clean towel if you want to shower, I'm heading to bed." He points to the bathroom.
"Where exactly is bed?" I ask.
He points to the couch next to the bed.
I frown slightly but with him in the room and his attitude atleast I know I'll be safe.I walk to the bathroom and close the door. I don't lock it incase he needs to pee. I undress from my clothes and step into his glass shower. Turning the dial to medium hot the water caresses my body. I tilt my head back and let the water beat my head.
Everything seemed to be going so right. I could always back out of this deal. I mean Jeffery, the man I'm defending hasn't paid up. I haven't even fully agreed to defend him.
My thoughts over whelm me when I hear a knock on the door. "You okay?"
"Fine." I abruptly answer.I lather my body full of soap and rinse, I repeat the method with my hair. I turn the water off and step out onto the towel. Dried completely off I slip the shirt Devin gave me over my cold body. I wipe the mirror with my towel and realize I literally have nothing. I open the cupboard next to the mirror and find a brush.
I'll just clean it after I use it. I brush my hair out and set the brush back where I found it after pulling my hair out from between the bristles. I fold my dirty clothes up into a ball hiding my bra and underwear in amongst my shirt and pants.
I open the door and step into the room. Devin lay on the couch with a thin blanket ontop of him. Not wearing a shirt really shows his muscle definition. His pectorals are huge, he has eight visable abs, the V down to his dick and his shoulders are wide. Strong. A tattoo on his left peck of a skull and flames and another on his side of what looks like writing his skin is tan and looks smooth except for the ridges of each muscle outline.
I set my clothes on the bed stand and sit on the bed. I can feel the warmth of wetness between my legs. I stare at Devin. His lips pursed together loosely, his eyes shut softly. One arm on the back of the couch the other on his member. His legs spread alittle with the blanket only covering one leg.
I bite my bottom lip. This man is a devil im disguise. No man looks this damn good and saves a wreckes girl like me. I shiver with anxiety thinking this man could literally kill me.
"Is there a problem?" Devins voice cracks my thoughts once more.
"N..no. sorry." I scurry under the covers of the bed and lay my hands down beside me. "Goodnight."
I turn over and take a huge sniff of his pillow. Smells like a cedar tree with a bit of cologne. I smile alittle. I can't remember the last time I slept in a mans bed. Let alone slept with a man. It's been a long time.A few seconds later the lights go out. I hear Devin's heavy foot steps along the floor to the couch. The couch creeks alittle as I'm sure he's laying down. I yawn and that's the end.
------------------------------------
The sun shines in through the windos as I slowly open my eyes. The couch is empty, the blankets gone, and so are my clothes. I turn over more and notice Devin isn't even in the room. I throw my feet over the side of the bed and see my suit case by the bed stand. I rub my eyes. Yep my suit case. I get up and look out the window."Devin there's no saving it." A man calls.
Devin slams the door to the Jeep. "Jerry we HAVE to get this piece of shit moving! I have a random woman up stairs in my bed right now!" Devin hollars.
Jerry nods towards the window I'm standing at and Devin turns and looks directly at me then back at the man. "Damn it Jerry."I smile and turn back to my suit case. I grab a pair of pants from it and slip them on. I then make my way down stairs. I open the house door and make way towards Devin and the man named Jerry.
"Well good morning beautiful." Jerry smirks and nods at me.
"Jerry." Devin growls as he literally slaps the smirk off Jerry. Jerry looks at Devin "Did you...test drive?" Devin smacks Jerry again. "Okay okay Jesus. Fuck man. Like I said it's a gonner. Take her where she's going or some shit." Jerry throws his grease rag on the hood of the Jeep."It's fine I just need to charge my phone I'll call around and rent a vehicle." I look directly at Devin as if he'll magically pull a charger out of his ass or something. "Rent a vehicle? Lady look we don't have that here.. in this town." Jerry states. "We'll figure it out." Devin wipes his forehead leaving a grease mark across it.
I step forward and wipe his forehead. And then back away. "Sorry. Reflex." I smile and look down at my feet. "There's food on the stove if you want breakfast I'll be in shortly." Devin stares into my eyes. I get the clue. I turn and head back in the house.
