Ignored (tadashi x reader)

You were falling in love with Tadashi day by day but as he was your best friend, you decided not to tell him, for fear of losing the friendship the two of you had. But deep down you felt like you already did.

You’ve been seeing Tadashi and Honey Lemon together almost every time. From morning to afternoon, they sat together during lunch, discussing and laughing at jokes, while you were sitting at your usual place, where you used to sit every time with him. However nowadays you were alone.

You haven’t been talking to him for almost a week, now. Whenever you tried to approach him, he would leave like he did not see you and you would walk away silently; feeling terrible inside and thinking what you did or told him to make him hate you like this? What you didn’t know was that Tadashi was feeling terrible seeing you like that and leaving you every time.

It was now Friday and also time to go home from SFIT. You walked back home quickly because your house was just 5 minutes from there and also because you needed to get the feelings out.

As soon as you opened the door of your house, you went in your room, trying to avoid your parents and siblings (if you have ;)) and then collapsed on the bed… crying the feelings that were cooped up since a whole month and fell asleep.

The whole weekend, you hadn’t showed up in the meet ups, with Gogo, Honey Lemon, Wasabi, Fred, Hiro and Tadashi. You remained in your house watching movies and crying on your bedroom form time to time.

Then on Monday, when you went to SFIT, you wore sunglasses, since your eyes were red and puffy from the crying. Just as you stepped in SFIT, your best friends bombarded you with questions like ‘where were you?’, ‘why did you not show up?’ and also ‘why were you wearing sunglasses?’ You shrugged it off and told them that you were ill. You went to your lab, sat on your chair, removed your sunglasses and pulled out a book to read.

Then what you hadn’t been expecting, happened. The “Tadashi Hamada”, came into your lab with a smile and said “Hi (y/n)! (y/n), Where were you these past two days? Do you realize that we were all extremely worried?”

You turned away from him and muttered loud enough for him to hear “Why do you care?”

“Of course I care! I’m your best friend.” He answered back.

You turned around and almost yelled “Then where were you these past days? Where was my ‘best friend’ when I wanted to talk to him? Why were you ignoring me?” you said the last part in a whisper, tears starting to well up in your eyes.

You saw Tadashi flinch when you yelled but he regained his composure, walked closer to you and said “(y/n), your eyes…what happened?”

“Nothing!” you answered and quickly looked away.

“(y/n)…” he trailed off and turned you so that you were now looking at him. He wiped your tears and caressed your cheeks with his thumb and said “(y/n)… I am extremely sorry that I have been ignoring you but, I did it because… every time I came near you…my heart starts to beat fast… I feel butterflies in my stomach and I almost can’t talk. I tried asking Honey Lemon about it and she told me that I might be starting to fall in love with you…”

You just stood there, looking at him with your (e/c) eyes.

“(y/n)…I really like, no love you, and I’m also sorry for ignoring you…so would you please forgive me?”

You looked at him in shock then slowly said “Tadashi, I love you too and I forgive you!” and with that you hugged him tightly.

When you too pulled away from the hug, he asked you with a heart melting smile “So (y/n) …. Would you like to be my girlfriend?”

You replied ‘yes’ almost immediately.

He then placed a small, chaste yet sweet kiss on your lips.

I'm soo sorry for updating so late, i was actually to update on the 31st or 1st but i had to prepare for New Year~ I hope you guys enjoyed your New Year!! Anyways Sorry Again!
