The soft clacking of shoes against polished floors was the only sound in the corridor. Lilith leads Matthew to a door at the end of the corridor, a sign hangs above the door 'nurse', "welcome" the nurse greats cheerfully. "Hello Nurse Jane, I've braught a patient" Lilith gestures to Matthew. Matthew awkwardly waves "hi again Nurse Jane" "hello Matthew, what can I help you with this time" Matthew lifts up his fist to reveal bloody knuckles and one giant bruise. The nurse nods and quietly starts working. "You can go to class now Lilith". Lilith looks up and meets Matthew's eyes with an unsure smile. "Okay. But meet me after school in the courtyard I wanna make sure" Lilith gives Matthew a gentle smile. "See ya around". Lilith hesitantly heads for the door and exits. In class Lilith can barely concentrate. Thoughts ran through her head "why would he do that"? "Why would he protect her in such a way"? "Why would he go as far as punching Trevor"? "Why her"? Unfortunately these questions went unanswered. Hopefully when she meets Matthew after school he can answer her questions. The questions that have been plaguing her mind all afternoon. Finally she can get some answers.
