The halls echoed with the sound of bone meeting flesh. Trevor stands hunched over holding his jaw. "I wasn't expecting you to punch so hard twig" Trevor said while rubbing his already bruising jaw. "Never underestimate your opponent Trevor" Matthew grins. There are quiet gasps heard in the crowd of students that has formed around the two. "She's not girlfriend, heck she's not even your friend! Why are you protecting her? Your nothing to her!" Trevor grins evily. " Because no one deserves to be talked about the way you talk about her!!" Matthew bellows "I could care less if she doesn't know me I'm not going to let you talk about her as if you've slept together! Because we all know you haven't and never will! I mean why would anyone wanna see your disgustingly tiny junk" Matthew laughs. At this point it's now a game of insults. Who breaks first? Who runs off while trying not to cry? These kinds of games never last long and no one ever knows who's going to win. From somewhere in the hall a girl pushes through the crowd "MATTHEW!! TREVOR!! would you guys stop!!" Lilith stands in between the two boys gaining their attention. "You guys have been at each other's throats since school started! Can't you just go a day without starting a fight!?" Matthew looks Lilith in the eyes and sighs "you know I'd love to Lilith but I can't just let this guy talk about you so carelessly!" Matthew softly looks at Lilith. "I know and I appreciate you standing up for me and everyone else here but violence only results in hate and more violence" "yeah listen to my dear Lilith Matthew!" Trevor says as he walks up to Lilith and wrapping and arm around her shoulders "Don't call me your dear Trevor!" Lilith groans while trying to escape the weird embrace. "Can't you see your making her uncomfortable Trevor! She doesn't want you! Get that through your dumb head!" Matthew snarls while grabbing Lilith and helping her escape Trevor. "Oh yeah? Maybe a punch to your face will help you realize your wrong!" Trevor exclaims while raising a fist. Matthew gets ready to fight but before the first punch can be thrown Lilith grabs Matthew by the arm and begins to drag him away from Trevor. "Yeah you better run twig!!" Trevor shouts over the crowd and turns to leave, Matthew, just like a child, sticks his tongue out at Trevor and blows raspberries. "Oh knock it off Matthew" Lilith giggles as Matthew laughs at his childish behavior. "Ya know Matthew your the only person that's stood up to Trevor before and I honestly can't tell if it because your brave or just stupid" Lilith says with a small smile "hey!! Someone has to drag him off his high horse" Matthew smirks proudly. "Goodness Matthew!! Your lip!" Matthew lightly touches his lip only to find blood on his finger. "Dang he busted my lip" he says with a straight face "your not worried?" "Nah are you kidding me? Did you see his jaw? There a huge bruise! If you ask me my punch was soooo much better! I mean he was totally trying not to cry" Matthew laughs out. Lilith shakes her head, a smile playing at her lips "let's get you to the school nurse tough guy" "and thanks for defending me" Lilith says looking at Matthew "no problem!!" Matthew grins with with a double thumbs up.
