"C'mon Axl, just tell me where we're going..." Slash whined. They'd been on the road for about an hour now, and Slash was starting to get restless.

"I can't, it's a surprise."

"Well, how come it's so far away? I need to stretch my legs." Axl smirked at him in the front view mirror. "We're almost there."

Slash sighed and turned to the other guys in the back. Steven was fast asleep, while Duff and Izzy were playing cards.

"Ha! Straight flush!" Duff crowed, tossing his cards in Izzy's face.

"Shut up, you idiot!" Izzy hissed under his breath. "We can't wake up Popcorn." Duff let out an embarassed "Oh." and nervously glanced at the drummer, who merely smiled in his sleep and rolled over.

"Mind if I join?" Slash asked, picking up the cards that Duff had thrown.

"Too late!" Axl shouted, startling Steven awake. "We're here." Axl hopped out of the driver's seat and opened the sliding door. All too excited, Slash and the others climbed out of the van, leaving the pile of cards behind them.

"A... stadium?" Slash breathed. "Axl, who are we seeing?" The redhead said nothing, but handed Slash his concert ticket.

AEROSMITH

LOS ANGELES, CA - SEPTEMBER 1989

"We're... We're seeing Aerosmith?!" Slash couldn't believe it. His all-time favorite band, the main source of his inspiration... He hadn't seen them since he was a teenager.

"Happy birthday, Slasher." Axl smiled seeing him so excited. He was acting like a little kid, but it was adorable to watch.

"What are you guys waiting for?" Duff called, racing ahead of them both. "Let's grab our seats!"

If Axl wasn't there with him, Slash would've leaped right out of his seat. The guitarist kept fidgeting, and he gripped the edge of his seat tightly. Any minute now...

A familiar riff started to play. Slash's heart started beating in his throat.

"I'm back!!" Steven Tyler screamed into the microphone as the lights illuminated the band. There were Tom and Brad, jamming away at the rhythm section of Back in the Saddle. Slash's eyes scanned the stage for the lead guitarist he idolized.

There he is! Joe rapidly plucked at the six-string bass, his foot stomping to the beat and his hair flying in the air. Slash gulped. When did he become so... attractive? The man's appearance had changed drastically since the 70's. He had gotten a tan and put on muscle mass, and he had trimmed his bangs. And Slash couldn't keep his eyes off him. Fluffy hair framed his chiseled face and warm brown eyes, and the vest he wore did little to conceal his defined pectorals. Yet before he knew it, the song had already ended.

"New album, folks!" Steven yelled in the microphone before stepping back to dance around on stage. Joe started playing the riff, and soon Steven jumped back in with the opening scream.

Young lust
Happy just to be in lust
Never have to eat no dust
Everybody talk about

Axl was trying to get his attention, but Slash was entirely focused on the new song. They still had it. The energy was still there, the same stuff that hooked him as a teenage boy. He couldn't believe it.

Axl chuckled seeing the guitarist nerd out in the corner of his vision. He could've sworn Slash gasped when Joe walked up to the mic.

"It's fuckin' hot in here," was all he said, stripping off the vest he wore and absentmindedly tossing it into the crowd. Suddenly, a barrage of excited pokes to the arm followed by an "Axl! Look!" caught his attention. Axl turned his head to see Slash clutching Joe's vest, practically squealing with delight. Axl grinned. The party was just getting started.

"Oh my God. That was amazing!" Slash cried as they left the stadium. "Joe's solo during Sweet Emotion, Steven playing Dream On, oh, and I've gotta get that new al-- Hey, Axl? This isn't the way to the parking lot."

"Ax, did you seriously not tell him?" Duff laughed from behind. "He's gonna flip out either way."

Axl sighed. "Fine, fine. Yo, Slasher. Check out the other side of your ticket."

Slash pulled out the ticket stub, heart pounding in his chest. He already had a feeling of what it was going to say, but it couldn't be, could it?

INCLUDES A VIP MEET AND GREET WITH STEVEN TYLER AND JOE PERRY

Slash just about fainted right then and there. "Wait... We're seeing them right now?!"

"Of course, man. Just give your ticket to the guy who opens the door." Steven attempted to calm Slash's nerves as Duff knocked on the door.

"Tickets, please." The bouncer took their tickets and stepped aside. Slash was nearly shaking as he entered the small room. There were Steven and Joe, smiling and chatting with each other.

"Ooh, look who we got here!" Steven yelped. Joe merely smiled and waved and Slash shyly waved back.

"Hey, wait a minute," Steven contemplated, putting his hands on his hips. "I've seen you before. You guys are Guns N' Roses, aren't you?"

"Y-You do? I mean, uh, yeah, that's us!" Slash stammered, earning a punch in the arm from Izzy. Joe laughed and stuck out his hand for a handshake. Slash took it, hoping his palm wasn't too sweaty. "I'm a big fan of yours. You-- you were the reason I picked up guitar."

"Really? Wow, thanks. I've listened to Appetite for Destruction. You guys are gonna be big, I just know it." Slash beamed.

"Aw, c'mon Slash, just spit it out!" Duff shouted, shoving him roughly. Slash stumbled forward into Joe's arms, and Joe caught him, a small "Oof." leaving his lips. Steven looked up from the autographs he was signing and snickered to himself.

Slash regained his balance, his cheeks now a bright shade of pink. "I'm so sorry," he gasped.

"It's no problem," Joe said with a chuckle. "Will you be going on tour soon?"

"Um, yeah, as a matter of fact," Slash answered. "Why do you ask?" Joe held up a hand, signaling for him to wait. He pulled out a slip of paper and pen and jotted something down, then handed it to Slash. On it was a phone number.

"Tell me how it goes. You interest me, Slash. I'd like to get to know you better, see how the band does." Joe smiled at the younger guitarist, who had frozen in shock. "Come here, man." He pulled Slash into a hug.

"You're gonna do great. Just trust me."
