i watched as she got ready. y/n looked beautiful, as always. i'm nervous about telling him. after all, we've been on the low.

"baby, you ready?" she turned around and nodded. i loved when she wasn't wearing any makeup, always been beautiful. "i'm not going to lie, i'm nervous y/n."

y/n walked over to me and sat in my lap. "me too," she softly whispered and kissed my jaw. "it'll be okay, we're both ready."

"guys, we're waiting on you!" jalen yelled from outside of the door. i pecked her lips before she got up. y/n pulled me up.

she intertwined our fingers. "whatever happens, happens. you know i love you, and i know you love me." i nodded and kissed her head, letting go.

y/n opened the door with a smile, and greeted them. i dapped the two up and us four walked out. "so, we're going to just go to an italian restaurant. if that's okay with you guys,"

"yeah, we're cool with it." josh responded for them. i nodded my head and continued to walk out of the lobby. we got into our uber, and drove out more into the city.

we arrived and ordered food. the waiter brought out water for all of us, before getting us our drinks. we thanked him and continued talking.

y/n held my hand underneath the table as we all conversated. "so, y'all came out here for..?"

josh was instigating now. "we have to tell you guys something, but i don't wanna announce it right now. how about when the food comes," y/n softly smiled. her hand gripped my tightly, i could tell she was nervous.

jalen nodded his head, i could tell he was confused too. joshua already knew. we had to break it out to public and family now. however first, we break it to them or him. that's one of y/n's closest person in her life. so, i understand it is important to her.

the food came out and we sat there eating. joshua wouldn't stop talking, as always. jalen recorded us all, and y/n just quietly ate. i know her a little too well, she was only quiet when something was on her mind. it was telling jalen, she's scared he will react differently.

"okay, can you tell us now?" jalen pushed his phone into his pocket. y/n sighed softly and nodded.

"me and—" she got cut off by the waiter. "any dessert for the night?"

she took a deep breathe and nodded her head. "let's order, and then talk." y/n procrastinated.

i'm going to let her do her thing. i don't want to do too much, getting into her way. it's her brother, yet our relationship. however, that's her family.

the waiter left after we ordered. moments later, he came out with the cheesecakes and tart. "you ready to talk now?" i looked at her, and she nodded.

y/n sighed and looked at jalen. "we've been dating on the low for a month, almost two."

"what, with who?" he looked confused.

"me," i spoke up.
