SØNGFIC/SINGER! reader.
cake by melanie martinezkuroo tetsurou was one of the most popular boys, every time a girl saw him they swooned, when he passed men they looked at him with either admiration or jealousy. kuroo tetsurou was the volleyball captain, he was one of the smartest students there, his best friend is kenma kozume.
now, i know you're expecting the whole, mr.popular, falls for miss.unpopular, though that might've been the case, it wasn't anything like the movies told her.

"y/n-chan, pleaseeee, i don't understand this." the boy begged, holding out his english homework. the girl sighed and closed her book calmly, she looked the boy dead in the eye before throwing the book at his face.
"there that's a book on english, read it and leave me alone kuroo-san." she said, bluntly, before grabbing her backpack and walking out of the library.
the boy sat there stunned, he heard a snort behind him, looking behind him he found his fellow teammates taketora and yaku. they silently laughed at him holding onto the bookshelf for support.
kuroo rolled his eyes "yeah, yeah, laugh it up you two, she'll fall for me eventually." he said, confidently as he opened the book. his eyes widened, during the twenty minutes of him begging her to help with the english homework, she had placed sticky notes on certain pages, with neatly written tips. he made a mental note to thank the girl before smirking "it seems she might already have a soft spot for me though." he stated, cockily.
the two boys stopped laughing, they looked at each other with the same look they always used whenever kuroo found a new 'toy'.
a look of worry.

"if only i had noticed it back then." the girl mumbled to herself, she sighed as the stylists finished her hair and makeup.
"miss y/n l/n, are you ready?" her manager asked, poking their head into the room, the singer nodded before walking up to her.
"is he-"
"yes he's here."
"oh.. alright, thank you for telling me." the girl said, before they put her mic on and she walked onto the stage. she took a deep breath glancing at the crowd full of people before grinning and waving. the crowd instantly cheered, yelling out the girls name and throwing compliments her way.
she walked to center and immediately noticed bedhead hair in the front row, she saw all his old teammates, most likely yaku dragged him there, was what she initially thought. next to him was a girl who was holding hands with him. she almost let out a giggle but she gently bit her tongue and held it back.
poor girl. she thought.
after the greeting part, the music started and the lights dimmed, she knew he was looking at her, she wanted him to. she wasn't the same naive girl, falling for his charms and tricks.
in the end, it was really him that fell in love with her, they were going steady, until their second year of college, they went to different colleges. which could have been the problem at the time, but the girl thought they could get through anything. if only she knew what was going on. if only she knew what he was hiding, more specifically, if only she knew that his words were shallow, that he no longer meant any of it, that after her first time, he had left in the middle of the night to go see someone else. if only she knew she was just a piece of cake to him.
she took a deep breath before singing.
"your skin is warm like an oven, your kiss is sugary sweet."
