Note: I intended to use English Prim's lanuage for the first half of chapter one because it's appropriate to his current situation. Prim had stayed in America for almost five years so he might used to speak in English for the moment rather than Tagalog though he's fluent in both languages. However, this chapter is invaded with some grammatical errors so please proceed with caution :)

Prim's Point of View
TEST I: A wake-up call
It's raining cats and dogs as we go to Auntie's house where I'll going to celebrate my 24th birthday. I quivered with delight as a thought came to my mind that I could be with my girlfriend once again after so many years I've spent in America to get my College degree. I can't keep myself on browsing her photos in my phone due to anticipation so I didn't notice that we're near in that location until my phone had turned off due to battery low. I guess we'll be there in less than twenty minutes.
To get off from boredom, I tried to have a conversation with them but to no avail, no one answered me because they're so busy in their tetchy life. My mom, who is sitting next to the driver, is busy in taking her selfie, on the other hand, my annoying best friend Procopi, who is sitting next to me is too busy in playing clash of clans while my crazy cousin Rose, who is sitting at the back is too focused on watching Chef Boy Logro's cooking show in her i-pad. It's too dubious if I would say that today we really valued family bonding.
So the least thing that I can do to unleash the boredom was to stare at the window and appreciate the scenery. It's really evident that this town becomes more beautiful than before. As we made our way to Auntie's house, there's a petty commotion on the road so we waited for it to patch up. While waiting I saw a cat and a dog squabbling, I smirked because It reminds me of how my girlfriend and I fought like cat and dog for just to reach the top place in academics. I've been longing for her more when a song entitled 'By your side' sung by Faber Drive plays. Out of the blue, I found myself reminiscing the good old days until Procopi breaks my silence and I noticed that we are here in front of Auntie's house.
"Prim, I turned off the music because my phone battery is getting low, did I ruin your daydream?" he said.
"You'll pay for ruining my precious moment so this day forward I'm going to be your worst nightmare", I scoffed then he get out the car quick as a wink.
"At last we're here, It's been five years since the last time I came here", my mom said, then she tilted her head in my direction, "Prim what you waiting for get out the car now."
I get out the car carrying a bunch of pink roses for my girlfriend and Auntie welcomed us at the front gate. We entered the house; it's designed lovely like that painting hanging on the wall. I stared at that painting and come up to my senses when Auntie spoke to me. "Why are you taking so long to look at that painting, You've been longing for her so go to her room and wake that girl who sleeps like a log then let yourself be her wake up call", Auntie said then she smiled at me.
I jog upstairs hastily that seems like I'm in a lode runner game so I had gotten here quickly. Now I could reach her presence which is enough...............
to warm the cockles of my heart.

"Gising ka na o gigising ka na", Nagising ako sa paulit-ulit na ingay na nagmumula sa lamesa na nakapwesto sa gilid na bahagi ng silid ko. Bigla na lang ako nangiti ng maalala ko ang binigay na regalo ng pinsan kong si Rose kahapon.
