Another Gilbert Girl (A Vampire Dairies Fan Fiction)

This is my first fan fiction so I don't know how well it is going to turn out. Any words of advice are help full. Please let me know what you think and if I should keep writing. I don't own any of L.J Smiths characters. I only own Katelyn. 

Takes place when Katherine is stuck in the tomb because of Elijah's compulsion.

After hours of driving I have finally passed the 'Welcome to Mystic Falls' sign. It’s good to be home.

So I guess an introduction is in order. I'm Katelyn Gilbert. Never heard of me? Thought so. Well I’m Elena's twin sister. I’m older :) I've been away for 3 years at a 'camp'. I'll explain later but I do know that Vampires Exist. I also know that Mystic Falls is infested with those unholy creatures. I'm coming back to see my family and hopefully rid Mystic Falls of the evil that pollutes their town.

A few things about me. Well I look almost exactly like Elena. The only difference is my hair is naturally curly. I hate being called anything but Kat. I don't mind being called Katelyn on occasions. Oh, I'm also a vampire slayer. If confused refer to camp.

Driving through town I see the Grill and immediately pull in. I'm in a desperate need of a hamburger.

"Hi may I take your order?" the waiter asks me. Looking out from behind the menu I see that it is Matt.

"Hey Elena! I didn't know it was you. I like what you did with your hair."

"Matt, Matt, Matt. You should know Elena only curls her hair on special occasions." I said.

His expression turned dark. "Katherine" He spat.

I felt myself pale. How does he know her? I stand up and regain composure. "Next time you see Elena, if it is before me tell her Kat is back in town." I say and then left to go to by old house.

Knock Knock Knock

An older gentleman with sandy blond hair answered.

"Hi Elena, I like what you did with your hair. Why did you knock?" he asked.

"I'm not Elena but do you know where I can find her. We really need to talk, it is of the utmost importance." I say

"Like I’m going to tell you Katherine." he said then started to close the door. Right before it did I stuck my foot in between to stop it. With one good ram I flung it open and toppled to the ground.

"Rick what was that?" I heard a voice call from the Kitchen. Stepping out came Jenna.

"Elena what happened?"

"I'm not Elena Auntie." I sighed while standing up.

"Katelyn!!!" Jenna screeched then pulled me in a bone crushing hug.

"Jenna....Can't....Breathe" I gasp.

"I'm Sorry but it has been 3 years. You look so much like your sister." She gushes.

"I know I got the pictures. I go by Kat now Jenna."

"Oh... Have you seen Elena yet?"

"No. I was going to ask you where she is, considering she's not here." 

"You should check the Salvatore boarding house."

"Thanks." I said then started to leave. 

"Wait. When you get back I want to know why you did not let me know that you were coming."

"OK!" I said. "Bye Jenna bye... Rick?" Waved then went looking for the Salvatore boarding house.

After 1/2 an hour of driving around (And asking for directions twice!) I finally found it.

Knock knock knock

This feels like deja vu.

"Elena!" I gasped when I seen she opened the door,

"Kath" I cut her off because I attacked her in a giant hug.

"Katherine what are you doing!" She screamed.

I was ripped off Elena and thrown 10 feet into a wall. Whoever touched me gave me a cold chill and a weird feeling that I could not place since I was you know flying into a wall and all.

"Ow." I groaned and sat up.

"You should know better than to come around here" A man with black hair and Ice blue eyes said.

"Elena I'm hurt. I can't believe you can't tell the difference between your sister and that Mega B*t*h. “I said.

"Katelyn!?" her eyes went wide.

"Surprise! I was going to come back and stay but I can see only Jenna wants me back." I Coughed into my hand and seen blood. Out of the corner of my eye I see the man's eyes darken.

"Oh my gosh Katelyn!" Elena rushed over to me. "Are you hurt? Of course you are you were just thrown across the room" She started panicking. 

"Elena. I'm Fine. I've had worse while I was away" I tell her and Started standing up.

 "Why don't you seem surprised that you were just thrown 10 feet like it was nothing?" She asked

"Because I've dealt with his kind before." I said narrowing my eyes at the black haired man and moving forward so I could put Elena behind me.

"So you think you could stop me from getting to Elena if I wanted to. That's cute." He smirked

"Damon what was that crash." Someone said coming down the stairs. When he looked over here he vamped his face out and came charging toward me and Lena.

Once he got close enough I grab his wrist ignoring the sensation of death and cold chills to use his momentum to flip him. He's on the ground face first so I quickly grab the stake from my wrist and hold it positioned over his heart.
