"Ate, let's prepare our confetti's!" my younger sister suggested. She's so excited, at her age--she's so happy with a celebration like this.
It's already 11: 50 pm, and people were starting to count down for a new year. Some were having a videoke, while the others were eating in a big table. My sisters, and I, are waiting here in the rooftop.
I can clearly see how beautiful the fireworks are, hear how they create a sound in a dark sky and be surrounded by a smoke.
I'm holding a confetti, we're not allowed to use anything that can harm us while celebrating our new year.
"Ate! It's already 11:59! Be ready!" she exclaimed while jumping because of excitement. Wendy and Hannah hold their confetti's as we started to count down
"10!"
My heart beats fast.
"9!"
Why I am shaking?
"8!"
I smiled, It's okay.
"7!"
It would be a good start.
"6!"
I hope.
"5!"
Please be good to me, 2020.
"4!"
I will survive.
"3!"
2019 gave me a hard time, and now--It's done.
"2!"
I closed my eyes, breathing heavily.
"1!"
Instead of twisting the confetti, a tear dropped from my eyes. I'm crying because it's all done.
"HAPPY NEW YEAR!"
