Melanie's POV
Ugh, dad's trying to blast me with his sword. Does he forget that I always dodge his blasts? Anyway, I dodged the blasts he fired at me, otherwise I'd get blasted into a wall or worse. I dodged all his blasts until I was blasted from behind by a woman with a sceptre. It was none other than Queen, my mother. Only three words were in my mind as I groaned under my breath. "Oh My God." I was about to give Terry the signal, but my mother stopped me. "We need to talk. Now." She told me as I already knew what she's gonna say. She knew that I wanted to leave the gang. She was pissed off and I knew it.
Queen's POV
"Why on Earth would you want to leave the gang? Did you forget that this is your family legacy?" I obviously started to lecture her about her decision. I will not allow her to leave the Royal Flush Gang because of Batman. "I did your dirty work for far too long and I'm sick of it! I don't wanna be a part of this anymore. It's my choice now, not yours." Melanie told me as she looked at King dead in the eyes. I could see that she was truly done with the gang. "Melanie, you are a Walker. You know that the Royal Flush Gang is where you are meant to be. It is who you are." I tried to make her change her mind, but she remained firm. "Being a member of the gang is who you want me to be. I'm not a little girl that you can boss around anymore. I'm old enough to say that what you're doing is bullshit." Melanie said as she turned her back on me and gave Batman the signal. The Dark Knight landed in front of the whole family. Melanie had chosen her side, and now she will face the consequences of her actions.
