"I know Professor Owens is a dick when it comes to late assignments," Gwen jumped over a crack in the sidewalk.
"Were you there when Eliza tired to hand in a late assignment and the box damn near bit her hand off," Morgan laughed. "I had to stitch it back together,"
"You know that shit really shouldn't be allowed," Gwen crossed her arms.
"It's the Academy you should always be ready for stuff like that to happen," Arthur commented. His sword glowed at his side.
"Well easy for you to say that sword of yours won't let you get hurt," Morgan rolled his eyes. "Some of the rest of us have to try and use our talents,"
"Says the Prodigy," Arthur punched Morgan in the arm.
"Can you guys not start a fight?" Helena asked. "Well attract Eidelons in this part of town,"
"Like anything like an Elder-god would come near you," Gwen scoffed.
"What's that s'posed to mean?" Helena placed her hands on her hips.
"Playing dumb doesn't suit you," Morgan laughed.
"We've all seen you summon Demons," Gwen laughed. She chanted some ominous gibberish and waved her hands in the air. "Come forth spirits of evil and do as I command you..." They all laughed, Helena blushed a little.
"That's not how it works," Helena spread her arms. "There's ritual circles, and incantations and binding spells,"
Arthur SCREAMED.
They all turned. Arthur stood in the road, a truck inches from him. Helena Screamed. Gwen pulled out her mirror. Morgan pressed two fingers to his lips and muttered something. Arthur turned to smoke. The truck hurdled through him. Morgan moved the fingers to cover his eyes and muttered something else. The mist coalesced and Arthur stood on the street.
"WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING," Morgan and Gwen yelled. They didn't use the same words but the general meaning was the same.
"There was a spider..." Arthur muttered. Helena knelt on the ground and held out her hand to the small black dot. "Thank's for the spell Morgan,"
"No problem," Morgan shrugged. "One time offer, next time you die,"
"It's a baby," Helena said holding it out for inspection. "It's not even poisonous,"
"It's a SPIDER!" Arthur said taking a step back from Helena who tickled the little being on her palm. "SPIDER'S are common forms for EIDELONS to take,"
"It's not an Eidelon," Helena laughed.
"You jumped into the road for a SPIDER?" Gwen snapped, Morgan laughed. He muttered something and the spider vaporized.
"See you can't do that to an Eidelon," Morgan grinned. "You are scared of spiders,"
"They are the creatures of night and darkness that bring forth the worst in us!" Arthur half unsheathed his sword.
"You chose death over a Spider," Gwen's eyes looked like they were on fire. "Jump into traffic like that again and so help me I will trap and torture your soul so long as I remain alive," Helena laughed behind her hand. "You've got a problem with that?" Gwen turned on her.
"No!" Helena turned away and started walking. "We should keep going,"
"Ya before Gwen kills us all," Morgan hurried off after Helena.
