Taking Our Time

Chapter 3- Are You Blind?

As I was keeping my eyes to the floor, I felt myself bump into another body.

I looked up and saw no one other than

'Uh-' I try and talk but I'm cut off by his voice.

'Are you blind?' He says with his eyebrows furrowing. His eyes looking straight into mine.

His first words to me, Are you blind?

I straight away hear his thick, british accent. Did he move to America for college? How long has he been in the USA? Loads of questions started flooding my mind but then I snapped back into reality.

'Um... no. I think' I say and start rubbing my eyes.

Then there was a moment of silence. He just looked right into my eyes. Then they slowly trailed down my body until my feet.

'Cute dress', he says and turns back around to a girl he was talking to. Probably trying to get her in his bed.

I stood there for a couple seconds, just trying to re-think of what he said. I couldn't tell if he actually meant it or was just being sarcastic. I turned to my left to see Katie standing with a worried expression on her face.

'Are you okay?' she asks.

'Yeah, of course' I reply.

We carry on walking until we come up to another girl who's talking to some guy.
'Hey Sammy!' Katie shouts.

Katie and Sammy begin to talk and I take a look at her appearance.
She's gorgeous.

She had long, blonde hair, brown eyes and was quite tall. Taller than me at least, for sure.
Then Katie comes to look at me and says, 'Hey, these are my friends I wanted you to meet. This is Sammy. You can call her Sam for short,' she says pointing towards Sammy and then points to the boy she was also talking to, 'And this is Liam.' She says.

I could already feel Liam's eyes on me.
He had brown hair, and warm brown eyes.
His hair was quite short and he was also tall.

I greet both of them for a hug.

'So, do you want anything to drink... What's your name?' Liams asks.

'Oh i'm sorry it's Aubrey'. I say.

'Aubrey, beautiful name'. He says with a smile.

Then there was an awkward silence.
'Oh! Oh! No thank you, sorry I forgot you asked'. I say with a smile and he chuckles.

I turn my head towards Katie and she has a big smirk on her face. I raise an eyebrow at her and her smirk turns into a frown.
Big mood swing...

And then I feel a hand on my right shoulder.

I turn around and come face to face with a familiar blonde, Niall.
He's bright blue eyes look into mine. Then he looks away and he says, 'Liam, you coming?'.

Liam looks around to all 4 of us and tells us to come with him. I didn't really want to be around of a lot of people tonight because I barely knew half of them. To be honest I only new one.
