Taking Our Time

Chapter 5- 'Got You On My Mind'

'I think you owe me a kiss.'

Harry says.

My breathing starts to quicken. My pulse is beating fast. I didn't know who the bottle was going to land on, but I didn't expect it to be him.

'I-'  I begin to start but no words come out of my mouth.

What am I going to do?
I know If I don't kiss him everyone will think I'm some loser. I don't want people to think of me that way.

It's just a kiss?

I begin to walk around the table, over to the couch where Harry is sitting.
A space of room is left next to Harry ready for me to sit.

I sit down and we both look at each other for long seconds.

A big smirk is plastered on his face. He places his soft, big hand on the side of my face and begins to lean in. Just millimetres apart, I can feel his hot and steady breath tingling on my lips.

My lips are parted and my body is shaking.
He begins to lean in closer, Our noses touching. His lips just brushing on to mine, until...

'COPS! COPS'' A stranger shouts.

Everyone around the house starts hoping across counters and running out of doors.

Me and harry pull apart and look around.
When I begin to realise what's happening, I turn my attention to Katie and she begins lifting from her seat and coming towards me.
I stand up and her hand reaches for mine and she begins to run.
I follow her actions and we push through a back door.

The cold, breeze hits my face and I look outside.
Cops cars and bright lights fill up the streets.
We begin running again to the car where Ben is already in, starting the engine.

'What the hell!' I shout as we run down the street towards Bens car. When we get in, he immediately presses on the gas and leaves.

As we are driving at high speed, I turn around to look out the window. People are running and falling over, from people brushing past one another to get away.

Well that was a close one...

Ben dropped us off to our dorms and I said goodnight to both Katie and him.
As I open my dorm room, I notice my roommate isn't inside.
It's been that for a while, I don't know where she stays. For all I know she could be dead.

I get unchanged and put on an oversized T-shirt and plop down on my bed.
As soon as my head hits my chunky,soft pillows, I let out a deep sigh I didn't realise I was keeping in.

Today was... different.

I nearly kissed someone! I nearly kissed Harry! Every time we got closer my heart rose, It was like it was going to come out of my throat. He made me feel so, nervous?

What am I taking about.
I don't even know anything about the guy.
He's probably some 'BAD BOY', who has fucked more than half of the campus.

I didn't even kiss him, so i'm stressing over nothing.

I close my eyes and try and fall asleep.

After a couple of minutes I get frustrated.
I don't know why I have him on my mind.

breath, breath, breath.
Now, sleep, sleep, sleep.

Ughhh, goddammit Aubrey!

I wake up to the sound of my alarm beeping.
I turn my head and lift my hand to press the stop button.

I slightly open my eyes, trying to get use to the light, and then I get out of bed.

I go to my mirror and I look dreadful. My hair is a mess, It looks like it's been dragged through hell.
Literally....

I could barely sleep last night.

I go to my desk and pick up a towel and my toiletries. It's 5:00 Am, and class starts at 8:30 Am.

I like to make sure i'm a 100% ready so I wake up earlier than I should.

When I get back from my shower it's 5:30 AM.
I was longer than expected.

I begin brushing out my tangled hair and then get out my hair dryer to blow dry my it.

After it's dry, I get out my curler and curl the end of my hair. I run my finger through the ends, to make it look more wavy.

When my hair is done. I go through my closet and begin looking for what to wear today. The forecast said it was going to hot all day so I thought I would wear one of my summer dresses.

It took me quite long what to wear, as I didn't want to wear anything to short or to long. I finally picked out my sky blue, mini sundress with ruffles on the end. It has tiny white floral printed flowers all over. It's quite short, it's stop at my mid thigh but Oh well.

I pick out my simple white converse and tie the laces up in a bow.

I head over to my mirror and realise My face looks drained.

I put some concealer under my eyes and blend it out fairly.
I curl my eyelashes and put a couple layers of mascara on.

I look better than I did before is all I can say.

I pick up my backpack and check the time. It 6:15AM, still really early so I decide to go to the coffee shop to get a drink and breakfast.

That's the dress Aubrey chose to wear💜

Sorry this is a short chapter! I'm not feeling so well right now so I don't have so much energy to write :(

Hopefully I'll feel better sooner so I can write longer and better!💜💜
