As weeks turned into months, the healing process seemed to go faster for Brian. He no longer needed the crutch, his leg had healed, and he was working on getting rid of the sling on his arm.
Brian was working hard at his physical therapy and his therapy sessions with Dr. Smith. Brian was opening up more to his wife about what he was feeling.
Janet was finally getting over the morning sickness and starting to show more and more each day. Brian's; nightmares had become less each week. He was sleeping better now that his leg had healed.
Brian went into the master bathroom and started a bubble bath for his wife so she could relax. He lit a couple of candles and put on soft music.
Brian: Hey, babe, can you help me with something?
Janet: Yep, one second.
Janet walked into the master bedroom and saw her husband sitting on the edge of the bed.
Janet: What do you need help with, babe?
Brian: Close your eyes and come with me.
Janet did what she was, told, and Brian walked her to the bathroom.
Janet: What is going on; where are you taking me?
Brian: Ok, open your eyes.
When Janet opened her eyes, she was standing in front of the tub filled with bubbles.
Janet: What is all this?
Brian: You have been taking care of me, so now I am taking care of you, I want you to relax in this bubble bath.
Janet: You did all this for me?
Brian: Of; course I did don't cry; It's ok.
Janet: It's the hormones thank you for doing this.
Brian: I would do anything for you.
Janet: I know.
Brian left the bathroom so that Janet could relax in the bath he went to the kitchen to make her something to eat.
When Janet got out of the bath, she noticed that the bedroom was empty, she figured he had gone to watch tv in the living room.
Janet heard noise coming from the kitchen she walked in and saw her husband trying to cook with one hand. She walked up behind him and put her arms around him.
Brian: How was the bath?
Janet: Relaxing, thank you for that.
Brian: Are you hungry?
Janet: I'm always hungry.
Brian just laughed and continued cooking; Janet stood next to him and helped him cook dinner.
Brian: I got it, babe, why don't you sit down.
Janet: Just let me help you your arm is still in a sling once it's gone I promise you can do all the cooking.
Brian just looked at his wife and laughed then let her help him finish dinner.
Janet was so happy to see her husband smile and laugh again; it had been a long time since she last heard him laugh. It was great to see him healing after everything he had gone through.
Later that night, when they went to bed, Brian pulled Janet close to him and rested his hand on her belly and smiled.
Brian: How are you feeling?
Janet: I'm feeling a lot better; the morning sickness; is finally gone.
Brian: That's good when is the next appointment I want to be there.
Janet: Next week, are you sure you are ready?
Brian: Of course I am I'm sorry you've had to go alone the first few times.
Janet: We were both going through a lot; you don't have to be sorry.
Brian: I can't wait to see him or her on the screen and hear the heartbeat.
Janet: I think next visit we can find out the gender?
Brian: Do you want to know?
Janet: Of; course, that way, we can pick a name and decorate.
Brian: Sounds good I'm sorry, babe can we talk more about this in the morning, I'm really, tired.
Janet: Sure, goodnight.
Brian and Janet kissed each other and cuddled up and went to sleep.
