Ello! My name is Teryn and this is um, my first story. Well, not actually. I deleted the other without getting to far into it so I made this one. I like this a little bit more though so hopefully you guys will too.

If you could give me comments of tips or suggestions or just boost my confidence, that would be great. I also wouldn't mind votes, liking, and sharing? I hope that's not to much to ask, though it's all optional...

Hope you enjoy!

I stared blankly into the ground. I didn't know what I was doing. I felt like I had been walking for so long that my hands and feet were about to give up, yet I kept walking. I walked through the rocks and into the road. It had been quiet for a while as I walked the familiar path. There were two lights ahead of me that caught my sight. I stared at them blankly, drawn to them. I wasn't aware of the lights getting closer then making a full stop in front of me.

I saw the car door open from the side of my eye. "What are you doing in the middle of the road?" I heard a voice, thick and manly. I noticed the anger in the voice. "Do you know that I could have ran you over if I didn't see you?" He shouted but then it was quiet, "Alex? Can you hear me?"

It was then I was aware I was still staring blankly into the car lights. My feet were now tired but thankful that I had stopped. And I was in the presence of Ryder.

"Yeah, I'm sorry." I rubbed my head now that I was lightheaded.

"What happened?" He asked.

"Um..." Was all I said. I didn't want to admit to Ryder that my boyfriend was a dick for breaking up with me. I hated feeling weak and alone though.

"Do you want a ride?" He asked.

"What? Yes, um sure." I answered. Stupid answer.

He opened the car door for me and I quietly thanked him. He got in on the driver side and closed his door from the cold air outside. "What's wrong?" He asked.

I hated how he could easily read my like a book. "Everything..." I mumbled.

"Do you want to talk about it? I'm here for you," He said. My stomach then decided to sound like a dying whale. I held it and hope he didn't hear, but of course he did. "And you're hungry. Want to go to McDicks?" I nodded my head silently. He started the car again and made a U-turn and headed toward the busy street.

The car was warm. The radio was on, but I didn't pay any attention to the songs playing. The car was different, not what I remember it was like. But then I realized that it was his dad's. He only borrowed his dad's car when he went out on dates. Great, I bet he just got back from his date!Guilt flooded through me.

I stared out of the window, staying quiet. I felt a hand on mine. I looked over to see Ryder holding my hand. He was driving yet trying to look at me, and when he did it was like he couldn't look away. Almost like time froze and it was just us. Well, it was just us.

Ryder looked back to the road and I looked out the window again. I could feel my cheeks turn red and I definitely didn't want him to see.
