She just at the creature in horror. And it would be easy for it to kill her. Especially with her side hurting.
A monstrous roar echoed in the air vents and Amy felt her stomach drop. Her mind raced with the thoughts of what the creature will do to her and what it was exactly.
She saw the white dots look away from her and look to it's left. A hissing sound could be heard followed by a heavy deep growling in the distance inside the air vent.
There's two of them!? Amy thought as she jumped to a conclusion.
Then the creature swung it's head in the opposite direction and then bolted away from the sound. The creature's long tail fell through the missing panel of the air vent. It's tail resembled an iguana's but bigger and longer. Then it's tail slowly moved up inside the air vent. The scattering sounds of claws hitting a hard surface echoed in the air vent as it disappeared slowly as it got too distant.
Amy flinched. A sharp pain hit her neck. Ow! What? I feel numb and sleepy... Blackness filled her vision as she passed out.
Huh! I can't see or move! Why!? Wait, I can hear someone. Amy thought and she cleared her mind so that she could listen to the voices.
"What are you going to do with her?"
"Hmm...we could just put her in one of those containment rooms so that they could figure out what they're going to do with her."
"I guess we just have to ask the others to see if they agree."
"Why do you think she went through the air vents? I thought Adam said that she was in his office."
"She was. But Chris probably chased her down. But i'm glad that Bredan caught him."
The door cracked open and then a voice said with sarcasm,
"What do we have here. Where did you find her?"
"In the lab."
"I'll take care of her. My dad wants to see you asap. You don't want to disappoint him..."
"N-no! We'll go right away Alex."
The door slammed as they ran off.
"I know you can hear me. I should have you know that you lucked out. You could have been an easy meal to them. But once your up and moving i'll have you do something else for me. You're bait anyway so why not? Right?"
By this time Amy could finally see and move again.
"You're trying to get me killed. Why can't you tell me?"
Alex smiled and replied,
"I'm going to take you back to your dad's office and then all of your answers will be answered."
Alex picked her up and Amy bared her teeth because her side was still in pain. Then he walked over to the door and opened it as he started walking through the long corridors. While he was taking her to her father's office the only thing that was in her mind was the thought of getting out of this treacherous place.
Finally they stood in front of room 112 after several minutes of walking. She sighed and Alex opened the door and layed her on the bed.
"It'll be easy."
"Easy?"
Alex grinned and stood in front of the door as he said,
"Nothing."
Then he closed the door and he was gone. There were no more footsteps. Just silence. And Amy knew that she was defenseless. She looked around the room to see that the air vent lid way laying on the ground next to the bed from what happened earlier. Alex's behavior scared her. She knew that he was up to something but she didn't what he was up to.
