The Great Loss

"No, no......."

She was bleeding furiously. Blood pouring out of her side where she had been impaled.

I held her as she was taking her last breaths. I couldn't save her, and that fact destroyed me. Here she was, my best friend, my sister, dying.

You don't know what that does to a person. it's indescribable. I felt that I was going to die too, except I was going to die of heartbreak.

She looked into my eyes as she took her last breath "I love...."

And she was gone, just like that. I held back tears as I closed her eyes. "I love you too, sister."

I put her body down and placed a kiss on her forehead. they're was so much I wanted to tell her, so many things I wanted to share, so many hours I wanted to spend with her, by my side.

I'm going to find the pony that did this to her. but, how did I not even know when it happened, she would still be alive if I had....

I shook my head. no. I need to focus right now. I had one more look at my beautiful sister before I ran to the woods.

It only took two minutes and as soon as I got on that plane I broke down in tears. I don't know what I'm going to do without her .
