Unfamiliar territory to love

Chapter 1

I started carrying my bag downstairs.

" You kept everything?"my mom asked.

"Yeah" I said briefly.

Grandma came and kissed me on the cheek. I smiled at her.

"OK. we gotta go.." My dad said to me.

"Take care OK? Don't take anything from strangers and if there is any problem tell your aunt. ok?" Grandma said.

"Yeah, I will. I got it" I said smiling at her words.

"Bye"

"Byeee" they all said in unison.

I took my two suitcases with me and headed towards the car with my dad. We have to reach airport in 20 minutes, Dad informed me.

After a ride of 15 minutes, I took the bags out and headed to the airport main hall. As I filled up details , I took a view of my surroundings. I have never been to another country.

And leave the special word alone. Yes I was going to America alone when I haven't even gone to a neighboring city on my own in my whole life.

I am going to USA. eeeep!!

And it was a big thing for me. I was so excited from the past week. I already checked all my documents and necessities at least 15 times from the past week.

After all the things were done dad helped me with the luggage and lead to the next information area. dad had already told me all the things and documents needed and I was mentally prepared for it. I was nervous as hell. Finally dad gave me a hug and kisses me on the forehead.

"Take care of yourself, I'll see you soon" and with that he was gone.

I told myself to relax. I was having a strange feeling which I never felt before. I thought of all the moments of the past week when I was thinking how am I going to live without anyone here. But now I removed my thoughts from my head and soon I felt relaxing.

I soon completed all the remaining formalities and took my seat.

The journey from India to LA was relaxing and fun. Soon I was out with my luggage waiting to see a certain person and when I saw her, I felt relieved. My aunt was living in New York for many years after her marriage.

She smiled seeing me and hugged me instantly.

" Hey Fiona. I was so excited to see you "

I smiled at her behavior. She was always bubbly nature yet sincere and mature. My aunt was the one who took responsibility of her career alone and made it successful. She was now living in LA since 8 years. My family, except my aunt, comes from a small town.

" Come on let's go"

She said as she led me towards her car. Her car has a rich look..by looking at the car, it speaks she has money. I looked at awe as she kept all my luggage. We talked about normal things for 20 minute ride. I was looking at the surroundings with such wonderful.
Wow such a beautiful place!
As it came to a halt,"we have reached home" she said merrily.

Her house was a double story house which was in a beautiful colony as the mind drifted to the time I will spend here. I was mesmerized by the beauty of the exterior and interior of the house as we walked inside. The house was huge for a couple, I would say but it has a certain homely feeling.

"What will you like to take Fiona?"

"Water will be fine, thanks" I said.

"So do you wanna have some rest first? It was quite a long journey. "
