A potion

Zoe POV

I have the most idiotic boyfriend. Why do I even love him. He is irresponsible and really stupid. How did he not understand what Luke said. It was pretty simple. Oh, but no! Percy is so stupid that he could not understand it. How? I am even sure that Lily could understand Luke. Lily, no offence to her, got titled as the most stupid person in the universe last year. Well, that was last year, this year I am pretty sure Percy will ace that test. How ironic, I thought children of Chaos were supposed to be smart and strong. But I think the smart part of that skipped a child. I sighed. M'lady would be upset if she found out that I was having a headache over a boy. But, she was not my m'lady anymore. I am not even part of the hunt. I also have a boyfriend. A very idiotic one. I smiled. Percy is also very charming. I looked around at our surroundings. Yes, our, as in me and Percy. The only reason I took Percy is because I did not want him to make a fool of himself. (Yeah right, are you sure it is not because he is your boyfriend.) It is not because he is my boyfriend. (Yep. I totally believe you) Ew. . . what is that awful smell. I looked around once again. We were literally in the middle of a dumpster. There were trash bags every where. This place stinks. There is no way I am looking through here. I mean, how can the potion be in a place like this. Ew. . . I hate this. I looked at Percy. He must have sensed my discomfort.

"Hey, we don't have to go in if you don't want to" he said. I shook my head. I was not backing down from a challenge.

"No, I can do this" I replied. Together we carefully stepped into the pile of trash bags. I took a shaky breath. I can do this. I went deeper into the dump, with Percy by my side. I don't know what I would do without him. I can do this. We took more steps till we were in the middle of the place. I took a deep breath and stuck my hands inside. I felt lots of gooey thinks. Don't look, don't look. I chanted in my head, trying to distract me from what I was doing. I saw from the corner of my eye that Percy did the same. I closed my eyes once again and stuck my hands deeper. I almost gagged. This was so gross. The real reason I don;t like dumpsters is because of an incident that happened on another planet. It happened when we were on a mission. We were put under a spell that would turn thing we were not afraid of and turn it into our worst nightmare. I, back then was not afraid of dumpsters so I started having creepy dreams about them. I only told Percy about them. Coming here reminds me of it again. I shivered at that thought. I hate dumpsters now. I felt my hand slide against something mushy. I almost cried. I hated this. I felt weak. I mean now dumpsters were my worst nightmare. I absolutely hated them. I looked at Percy. He seemed fine. For Percy I think. I shove my hands deeper into the trash. Hurry up. I voice inside my head told me. I knew I had to hurry up. I kept shoving my hands deeper into the trash, desperately thinking of a way to just find the potion quick. I looked at Percy. He was almost done with his side. I quickly hurried up to his pace. In a few more minutes we searched the whole back side of the shop. Me and Percy were standing in front of the trash.

"That was a waist of time" I exclaimed. 

"Yeah." Percy said while nodding his head. It really was a waist of time. I spent time in the dumpster again. I touched it. I shivered. Percy hugged me. I was glad for a boyfriend like that.

"Come on, lets go back" he said. I nodded. Together we went back to the front of the shop. Everyone was already waiting there. 

"Hey guys" said Percy. 

"Hey" they all said.

"So. Did anyone find the potion. Me and Percy did not" I asked. Everyone shook there heads. Ugh. Where can it be. In the frustration I kicked a bush next to me. From there a box came out. We were all very shocked. I took the box and opened it. I looked at what was inside with shock.

"Guys it is the potion" I said. Everyone came closer too take a good look at it. That was when a bright light shined and we all fainted.
