Helia swirled the pencil around her fingers, using something a human isn't capable to do. Magic, of all kinds, it was dark magic. One too powerful for this world, too bad she's not able to use it as it'd come in handy. "Your Majesty, what have I told you about using dark magic?", the Duke of Boniva asks, crossing his arms.
She looked up at the centaur, rolling her eyes. "Fine, but you know what I dislike?", she asks rhetorically, only hoping Roman would answer despite her boredom. "What?", Roman asked, sighing. Dropping the pencil midair, Helia looks at the back of Roman's head. "The fact that I have to look so far up just to meet your eyes, don't get me wrong you dislike it too!", she says, absentmindedly drawing scribbles at the corner of her page.
Roman laughed, half heartedly, "Yes, but also... no. It gives me another reason to be intimidating!", he says, grabbing another book from a top shelf. "I don't find you intimidating!", Helia says, standing up and crossing her arms. Chuckling, he shook his head in amusement. "No, not at all. Normally, you do the intimidation and for a girl like you...", he stops talking, looking back at Helia. "It's no surprise, you've got the looks for it!".
Arching an eyebrow, Helia hummed in agreement, "Is the lesson over?", she asks. Roman turns around and crosses his arms, then shrugs. "What makes you think it is? Is there a secret lover you're desperately wanting to see, I suppose?", he teases, Helia scoffs and shakes her head. "Oh, please! You've known me since birth, it's about time you learn that I don't need no man to survive!", she says, smirking at him.
"Who said it was a man?", he asks, teasingly. Helia's smirk falls and she scoffs, crossing her arms in defense. "Even if I was in love with a woman, I don't need a partner to live my life with. I can live just fine!", she says, sitting back down onto her chair. "Whatever you say, Your Majesty!", Roman mumbles, swinging his tail so it hit her face.
Just as she continued on her coursework, she turns to the Duke of Boniva. "Roman, there's something unusual I found this morning!", she says, swirling her pencil once more but before he could even say a word Pete enters the library. "Hello, Your Majesty! Queen Ophelia wants you immediately in the dining room for lunch!", he says, rather puffed out. Helia nods her head for confirmation and Pete makes his way back to wherever he was running from.
"There's pixies flying around the castle, why can't they be the ones sending the messages?", Helia asks, dusting out her dress. "Well, you've been living in this castle for a very long time now everyone knows how forgetful they are sometimes. Darn, pixies!", cursed Roman, out of nowhere he gets pinched by 4 pixies. Helia laughs and bids her goodbye as Roman winces in pain.
"They're quite small, yet their little fingers can be an earful!", whispers Roman.

The doors opens and in walks King Edward, all in his glory a well known smile on his face. Helia couldn't care less if he feels offended that she was starting without his presence, it's not her fault that her hunger didn't last long to wait for another 10 minutes of waiting for him. "I see you've started without me!", he says, coughing in the direction of Helia. Taking offense, Helia sneezed at his face. Butlers and maidens in the room all simultaneously went beet red as they held in their laughter. "Helia! Where are your manners?", her mother shrieks, smirking Helia sat back and brought the napkin to her lips.
"Out the window, probably having more fun than I am!", she says, grabbing another slice of an apple. Her step-father chuckles, flipping his rather short golden locks. "I'm quite alright now, Ophelia. Shall we?", he asks, reaching for the both of their hands. The Queen willingly grabbed his left hand, looking at him like a puppy in love. Noticing this, she stood up and dusted her dress out. "I think I've eaten enough, just gonna go down into town. Don't miss me too much!", she says, bowing to the butlers and maidens but stopping once she notices a glint of golden light. Narrowing her eyes, she looks back subtly without anyone catching on.
The Golden paper, Helia thought. Shaking her head, she walks up to the door and there she meets one of the guards to escort her around. "Do a favor for me will you?", she asks.
