A New Friendship

Tom and Jerry were up to their usual shenanigans. Until something went wrong. Jerry had tripped and Tom was able to catch up to him. Jerry screams. "N-No Tom, please don't hurt m-me!" Jerry screams in panic. Tom climbs on top of Jerry. "Why shouldn't I?" Tom asks smugly. Tom thinks to himself "Now that I'm close I've never realized how small and adorable Jerry was until now." Tom gets flustered. "Fine then maybe I won't hurt you, Jerry." Tom says. "T-Thank you, Tom." Jerry says gratefully. "Since I caught you can I at least hold you? I feel like I should at least get something for catching you." Tom says. Jerry nods and gets in Tom's lap. Jerry cuddles up to Tom and closes his eyes. Tom gets flustered. "Does this make us friends?" Jerry asks. "I'm not sure I'll have to think about it considering we're life long rivals." Tom says. Jerry giggles and gently grabs Tom's cheek. "Watch it!" Tom exclaims. "You're always such a grumpy sour puss." Jerry says in the middle of a giggle. "Am not!" Tom says defensively. "Are too!" Jerry exclaims. They look at each other and snicker and then start laughing.

"I guess you're alright for a sneaky mouse." Tom says. "And I guess you're okay for a grumpy cat." Jerry says while wiping the tears from his face caused by laughing. "I never thought this would happen if I got caught." Jerry says. "Me neither." Tom says. "And I never thought I'd be saying this but if you would like to be friends I would like that." Tom says with a smile. Jerry blushes. "Of course! I would love to be your friend, Tom!" Jerry says excited. Jerry eagerly hugs Tom. Tom goes to make a fuss about and then slowly pats Jerry's head and hugs Jerry back. And there it was the impossible friendship was made possible. The enemies, the mouse and the cat had become friends. As the new friendship blossoms, slowly more and more of the adventures Tom and Jerry took were together. Minutes turned to hours, Hours turned to days, Days turned to months, and months turned to years. It had seemed that Jerry had grown on Tom. And actually Jerry liked Tom so much that he wanted to be a bit more than friends. But this is where the real battle emerges. Even though Tom may like Jerry the same way, Tom was too much of a tsundere to admit anything. So the battle begins.
