.*---*.
Y/n pov
*.---.*Ah, yes. The day you hated most. Your birthday. Everytime someone brought it up you would lose all interest in the conversation. No one exactly knew why you hated the topic so much, they just assumed it was because of your personality. You were tsundere, never really wanting to talk to anyone. The only person to ever break through you was your classmate and crush, though you'd never admit it, Izuku Midoriya.
Everyone knew it was your birthday and didn't know how you react. You weren't the type of tsundere to really be mean to anyone, but you'd ignore them, not wanting anything to do with people. Deep down, you had a heart. But you always showed your cold side, emotionless, empty, just kinda cold.
You didn't know it, but today, Izuku had something planned up his sleeve. He had set it up with class 1-A. They agreed because they knew you were a nice person deep down. They all cared for you. Even the hot headed Bakugou.
Right now, you were walking to school, keeping your emotionless expression plastered on your face. You felt horrible today, on the verge of tears.
"Hey, Y/n!" You heard a voice pop up from behind you. You jumped.
"S-sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!" Your freckled friend said.
"Y-you- didn't scare me.." you mumbled, trying to deny the clear truth.
"O-okay?" He said.
"What do you want anyway?" You asked, your same, cold, emotionless act evident in your voice.
"Do you w-wanna walk to school t-together?" Midoriya stuttered.
"Sure, I don't care." You said, with your usual, 'I don't care'.
"O-okay.." he said as he walked by your side.
There was a moment of silence. Aquward silence.
"S-so..? It's your birthday..?" Midoriya said, trying to break the aquward mood.
"Yes, but don't talk about it with me." You replied.
"H-happy.. birthday," he mumbled, trying not to get you mad.
"I said don't talk about it near me. Got it?" You snapped.
"S-sorry!" The boy stuttered.
"Let's just get to class," you sighed as you walked on campus.
Once in the classroom, you sat down in your seat and avoided everyone like usual. Your aura was cold, colder than normal.
"Hey, Y/n? You ok? Ribbit," Tsu questioned.
"I'm fine," you said, your voice held no emotion, not even a little. You sounded like a robot.
'She doesn't seem ok,' Tsu thought but didn't question you further.
______________________________time skip_
You went back to the dorms after school, being tired after training. You wanted to go to your dorm and cry. No one remembered your birthday, just like every year. Your parents didn't even text you and wish you happy birthday, as always.
When you lived with your parents, they would lock you in the basement with a cake, some water and some milk. That was all you got for your birthday, being locked away from anyone and everything you knew.
You were walking in the door when you noticed the room was dark. You thought nothing of it until the lights turned on with a loud 'Suprise!' from everyone.
"W-what?" You mumbled, "what is this?"
"Well, i-its your birthday! Do you not like it?" Uraraka asked.
You. Were. Shook. No one ever celebrated your birthday. You weren't used to anyone caring about it. You felt warm tears running down your face.
"Who-who thought of this?" You half sobbed.
"I-i did..."
You looked to who talked and saw a freckled face. You ran to him and wrapped your arms around his torso.
"T-thank you..." You cried into his chest.
"Y-y-you're w-welc-come!" He stuttered, being seen as a blushing mess to everyone else.
"No one's ever... remembered my birthday or cared." You said.
"Well...we'llmakethisthebestbirthdayyou'veeverhad!" He exclaimed in a rushed mess due to how flustered he was. (If you can read that I will personally give you a shout-out)
___________________after the party 10pm_
You sat on the couch with Midoriya. You had asked him to stay and talk after everyone got everything cleaned up.
"S-so what did you need?" He asked.
"I-i... Thank you, for tonight," you said.
"Did you just—?" You cut him off.
"I-I'm only saying this once, so keep it in your head! B-baka!" You stuttered.
You went in for a hug. Midoriya has never seen you show so much emotion. You were always like the emotionless bakugou, but with less of a bad temper.
"Why..?" This question was on your mind for a bit.
"Why what?" He repeated.
"Why do you care? Why did you plan this? Are you just trying to gain my trust so that you can bring me down in the end?" Your last question was from experience. You never thought he'd actually do something to hurt you. You just never knew, you couldn't trust many people.
"W-what!? I would never hurt you! And I care because...i-i...like, no, love you," he replied.
"Your just saying that..." You blushed.
"I'm not! I do, truly love you!" Midoriya said as he wrapped his arms around you.
"I...love you to, dork."
